As of 10 PM Kyiv time on October 29, a total of 157 combat clashes were recorded along the front line, with nearly one-third of all engagements taking place exclusively in the Pokrovsk direction, according to an update from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of today, Russian forces have carried out 41 airstrikes targeting Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas, deploying 87 guided bombs. Additionally, 3,723 kamikaze drone attacks and 3,373 artillery strikes were recorded.
Frontline updates
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled four assault attempts by Russian forces. The enemy also conducted four airstrikes, dropping 12 guided bombs, and carried out 97 artillery attacks on Ukrainian positions and nearby settlements, including five strikes using multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled five attacks near Vovchansk and Kamyanka.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched twelve assaults attempting to push Ukrainian units from their positions near Pishchane, Hlushkivka, and Bohuslavka. Two combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops carried out fifteen attacks attempting to advance near Korovyi Yar, Ridkodub, Karpivka, Stavky, and Novoselivka. Two battles continue at this hour.
In the Sloviansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled six Russian attacks near Yampil, Serebrianka, and Vyiimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Defense Forces successfully stopped two Russian attempts to advance near Stupochky and towards Vyrolyubivka.
In the Kostiantynivka direction, Russian forces made 24 attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses near Kostiantynivka, Predtechyne, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, Berestok, Rusyn Yar, and Sofiivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces conducted 47 assault and offensive actions throughout the day near Shakhove, Dorozhnye, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Novoekonomichne, Chervonyi Lyman, Myrnohrad, Balahan, Lysivka, and Pokrovsk. Fighting continues in three locations.
"According to preliminary data, Ukrainian forces neutralized 58 Russian troops in this direction, including 39 killed and one taken prisoner. Two vehicles and six drones were destroyed, while three artillery systems and one additional vehicle were damaged," the report said.
In the Oleksandrivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 20 Russian attacks near Myrne, Sichneve, Novoselivka, Ternove, Sosnivka, Stepove, Verbove, Rybne, Pryvillia, Novohryhorivka, Vyshneve, and Pryvilne. Six more engagements are still ongoing. Russian aircraft struck the area of Pokrovske.
In the Huliaipole direction, one combat clash was recorded near Zelenyi Hai. The settlements of Nechaivka and Malynivka were hit by airstrikes.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces conducted six offensive actions since the start of the day near Stepove, Novodanilivka, Kamianske, and Stepnohirsk.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four Russian assaults near the Antonivskyi Bridge. Russian aircraft carried out a strike near the settlement of Olhivka.
Russian losses
Over the past 24 hours, from October 28 to 29, Russia lost another 1,150 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. Ukrainian forces also destroyed four tanks, 20 artillery systems, 313 drones, and other military equipment.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian forces have lost more than 1.1 million personnel, including both killed and wounded.
