Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of Оctober 6

At the front, 172 combat clashes have taken place since the beginning of October 6. Russian occupation forces are concentrating their main attacks in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, today Russian forces carried out one missile strike and 31 airstrikes, using one missile and dropping 65 guided aerial bombs. In addition, they launched 3,382 kamikaze drones and conducted 2,971 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.
In the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian troops repelled four assault actions by Russian forces. The enemy also launched five airstrikes, dropping 15 guided bombs, and carried out 129 attacks on Ukrainian positions and settlements, including four using multiple rocket launchers.
In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, Russian forces stormed Ukrainian positions 19 times near Vovchanski Khutory, Kamyanka, Stroivka, and toward Bologivka, Kolodyazne, and Odradne. Eight combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attempted offensive operations near Kupiansk, Redkivka, and toward Pishchane, Petropavlivka, and Bohuslavka. Ukrainian defenders repelled five assaults; six clashes are still in progress.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked Ukrainian positions five times near Ridkodub, Myrne, Torske, and Shandryholove but were repelled.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 16 assaults near Hryhorivka and toward Dronivka and Yampil; one clash continues.
In the Kramatorsk direction, one battle is ongoing as Russian forces attempted to advance toward Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops launched 19 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Rusyn Yar, Katerynivka, Shcherbynivka, Pleshchiivka, and Poltavka, but were stopped.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces have attempted to advance 49 times since the beginning of the day. The attacks targeted Ukrainian positions near Nykonorivka, Mayak, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Razine, Novoekonomichne, Myrolyubivka, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Orikhove, Filiya, and toward Novopavlivka and Volodymyrivka. Two clashes are still ongoing.
Preliminary data indicate that 150 Russian troops were neutralized in this area today, including 111 killed. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed one artillery system, two vehicles, and seven drones; additionally, two guns, one tank, two vehicles, a UAV control post, and 11 enemy shelters were hit.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces tried 22 times to breach Ukrainian defenses near Zelenyi Hai, Yalta, Piddubne, Voskresenka, Sichneve, Sosnivka, Vorone, and Novohryhorivka. Four battles are ongoing.
In the Huliaipole direction, Russian forces attempted eight assaults near Poltavka but were repelled.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled four attacks near Stepove and Kamyanske.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, there was one unsuccessful attempt by Russian forces to improve their tactical position.
Russian losses in war
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has lost approximately 1,116,340 personnel.
In the past day alone, the Russian army lost 1,090 troops, as well as five tanks, 14 armored combat vehicles, 18 artillery systems, one air defense system, and 363 drones, along with other military equipment.
