Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 23

Along the entire line of the front during the past day, there occurred 179 combat clashes. Our warriors inflicted on the occupation troops tangible losses in manpower and equipment, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, during the past day, the enemy inflicted on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas three missile strikes, having used four missiles, 67 aviation strikes, dropping at the same time 136 guided bombs.
In addition, it carried out 4,888 shellings, of them 134 from multiple launch rocket systems, and engaged in strikes 6,222 kamikaze drones.
Aviation strikes were suffered, in particular, in populated areas:

Zaporizhzhia and Zaliznychne of the Zaporizhzhia region;

Lvivove, Mykolaivka of the Kherson region.
Situation on the fronts
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions during the past day there occurred 11 combat clashes. In addition, the enemy inflicted 9 aviation strikes, dropping 25 guided aerial bombs, and also carried out 192 shellings of positions of our troops and populated areas, in particular ten from multiple launch rocket systems.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the Defense Forces repelled 12 attacks of the enemy in the areas of Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory, Krasne Pershe, Zapadne, and toward Odradne and Kutkivka.
In the Kupiansk direction, there occurred four attacks of the Russian forces. The Defense Forces repelled the assault actions of the enemy in the areas of Kupiansk, Kindrashivka, and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 20 times, trying to advance in the areas of populated points Olhivka, Novoyehorivka, Hrekivka, Serednie, Kolodiazi, Stavky, Shandryholove, Novomykhailivka, Derylove, Torske, Zarichne, and toward Stepove.
In the Siversk direction, our defenders repelled seven assaults of the occupation troops near Serebrianka and Vyiimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, seven combat clashes were recorded in the area of Maiske and toward Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out 17 attacks in the areas of populated points Pleshchiivka, Berestok, Katerynivka, Kleban-Byk, Rusyn Yar, Shcherbynivka, Poltavka, and in the direction of Stepanivka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, there occurred 58 combat clashes in the areas of populated points Nykanorivka, Zolotyi Kolodiaz, Rodynske, Chervonyi Lyman, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Promin, Vilne, Myrnohrad, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Dachne.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces stopped 31 attempts of the enemy to break through defensive lines in the areas of populated points Filiia, Sichneve, Shevchenko, Sosnivka, Novoivanivka, Ternove, Myrne, Berezove, Novohryhorivka, Novomykolaivka, and toward Ivanivka.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy three times attacked positions of the Defense Forces in the area of Poltavka.
In the Orikhiv and Prydniprovskyi directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, signs of the formation of offensive groups of the enemy have not been detected.
Losses of the Russian enemy
During the past day, aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two command posts, an artillery means, an ammunition depot, six areas of concentration of personnel, armament, and military equipment, and also two other important targets of the Russian invaders.
Altogether, during the past day, the losses of the Russian invaders amounted to 1,010 persons. Also, Ukrainian warriors neutralized five tanks, 53 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, two airplanes, one helicopter, 485 unmanned aerial vehicles of operational-tactical level, and 123 units of automotive equipment of the Russian occupiers.
