Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 19

Since the beginning of the day, 63 combat clashes have been recorded on the front line. Most of them occurred in the Pokrovsk and Lyman directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
As of 4:00 p.m. on September 19, Russian forces carried out shelling of several border settlements:

Arkhypivka and Bleshnia in Chernihiv region;

Semeikyne, Bila Bereza, Romashkove, Shalyhyne, Malushyne, Khliborob, Rudenka, Novovasylivka, Baranivka in Sumy region.
In several directions, attempts by Russian forces to conduct assaults and offensive actions were recorded.
In the Northern Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, there were two clashes. The Russian soldiers are actively shelling settlements and positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as well as dropping guided aerial bombs.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, three enemy attacks were recorded, two repelled, one ongoing.
In the Kupiansk direction, there were three attempts to break through Ukrainian defenses near Stepova Novoselivka and Pishchane.
In the Lyman direction, 10 Russian attacks near Novomykhailivka, Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, Torske, and toward Stavky, Novoselivka, and Serednie.
In the Siversk direction, there was one enemy attack.
In the Toretsk direction, there were seven assault attempts near Shcherbynivka and toward Pleshchiivka and Rusyn Yar.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russian troops have launched 25 offensive attempts on Ukrainian positions near Volodymyrivka, Nykanorivka, Rodynske, Novoekonomichne, Promin, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Kotlyne, Molodetske, Udachne, and Dachne.
In the Novopavlivka direction, seven assault attempts near Filiia, Voskresenka, Berezove, Maliivka, Novoivanivka, and Olhivske were recorded.
In the Huliaipole direction, there was one attempted missile strike on Zaliznychne, no ground offensives.
In the Orikhiv direction, two Russian attacks on Ukrainian positions near Kamianske and toward Stepnohirsk were recorded.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the Russian army attempted to approach Ukrainian positions near the Antonivskyi Bridge twice.
It should be noted that on September 18, 223 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. Russian forces attempted offensives in several directions and carried out more than 5,000 attacks on Ukrainian positions. Their total daily losses amounted to approximately 1,150 personnel.
Also, on September 18, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced the counteroffensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Donetsk region. Ukrainian forces eliminated about 1,300 Russian soldiers, captured 100, neutralized another 1,100, and liberated 160 square kilometers of territory.
