Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 13

As of 4:00 p.m. Kyiv time, September 13, 80 combat clashes were recorded on the front line. Almost half of them took place in the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
Enemy shelling
Today, Russian artillery shelling affected areas of settlements, in particular Starykove and Rudak in the Sumy region.
Frontline situation
In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders once. Today, Russian aggressor carried out two airstrikes, dropped seven guided aerial bombs, and conducted 63 shelling attacks.
In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, seven combat clashes took place near Vovchansk, Ambarne, Fiholivka, and towards Khatnie and Odradne.
In the Kupiansk direction, since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have attempted three assaults on the positions of Ukrainian defenders near Kupiansk and Petropavlivka, with one battle still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, five combat clashes occurred today, two of which are still ongoing. The enemy attacked near the settlements of Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, and Zarichne.
In the Siversk direction, Russian forces carried out 13 attacks today near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, and towards Yampil and Dronivka; four combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one enemy attack. The enemy attempted offensive actions in the direction of Stupochky.
Ukraine’s Defense Forces have already stopped two of the enemy’s four attacks in the Toretsk direction. Russian troops tried to advance near Kleban-Byk, Katerynivka, and Poltavka.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted 34 assaults on the positions of Ukrainian troops near the settlements of Volodymyrivka, Rodynske, Mykolaivka, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Pokrovsk, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, Novomykolaivka, Novopidhorodne, Molodetske, and towards Novopavlivka and Filiia. Ukrainian defenders have already repelled 29 of these attacks.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 enemy attacks near the settlements of Oleksandrohrad, Ternove, Olhivske, and towards Ivanivka; four combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv directions, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions but carried out an airstrike on Zaliznychne.
In the Prydniprovsk direction, Russian troops conducted two unsuccessful assaults. Kozatske suffered an airstrike.
In the remaining directions, there were no significant changes in the situation.
Situation in Pokrovsk direction
Today, Spokesperson of the Dnipro Operational-Strategic Group of Forces, Oleksii Belskyi, reported that the Russians carried out a record number of assaults in the Pokrovsk direction this week - 64 in total.
In addition, yesterday, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 49 Russian offensive actions, while the Russians set a peculiar record - they attacked along 19 directions in a single day.
As Belskyi explained, the enemy is looking for weak points in the defense of the Pokrovske-Myrnohrad agglomeration.
