Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 10

Over the past day, 200 battles, dozens of airstrikes, and nearly 6,000 drone attacks were recorded on the front. Ukrainian forces repelled massive Russian assaults in all directions, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
During the past 24 hours, the enemy carried out three missile and 73 air strikes on Ukrainian positions and settlements, using seven missiles and 93 guided aerial bombs. There were also 5,777 kamikaze drone attacks and 4,838 artillery strikes, including 95 with MLRS.
The settlement of Olhivka in the Kherson region suffered an airstrike.
Meanwhile, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of Ukraine’s Defense Forces struck five areas of concentration of enemy personnel, weapons, and equipment, as well as another important target.
On the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, there were nine combat clashes. Russian troops carried out 12 airstrikes using 24 guided bombs and launched 222 artillery strikes, including four with MLRS.
On the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, there were eight battles in the area of Vovchansk.
On the Kupiansk direction, seven enemy attacks were recorded. Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled assaults near Stepova Novoselivka, as well as toward Kupiansk, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane.
Eastern directions
- On the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked 16 times, trying to advance near Novomykhailivka, Karpivka, Serednie, Shandryholove, Kolodiazi, Zarichne, and Torske.
- On the Siversk direction, 21 clashes took place. The enemy tried to attack Ukraine’s Defense Forces positions near Serebrianka, Hryhorivka, Yampil, Dronivka, Vyimka, and Pazeno.
- On the Kramatorsk direction, three battles occurred near Stupochky.
- On the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched 14 attacks near Katerynivka, Yablunivka, Poltavka, as well as toward Oleksandro-Shultyne and Pleshchiivka.
Hottest sectors
- On the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 60 Russian attacks. Fighting took place in the areas of Volodymyrivka, Novyi Shakhtarskyi, Zapovidne, Myroliubivka, Novoekonomichne, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Dachne, as well as toward Vilne, Rodynske, Promin, Sukhyi Yar, Pokrovsk, and Molodetske.
- On the Novopavlivka direction, Ukraine’s Defense Forces stopped 40 enemy assaults in the areas of Maliivka, Komyshuvakha, Novomykolaivka, Olhivka, as well as toward Filiia, Ivanivka, Andriivka-Klevtsove, Sichneve, Ternove, and Novoivanivka.
Other directions
- On the Huliaipole, Orikhiv, and Prydniprovsk directions, Russian troops did not conduct offensive actions.
- On the Volyn and Polissia directions, there were no signs of enemy offensive groupings being formed.

Meanwhile, Russian forces lost 990 military personnel over the past day. Ukrainian troops also destroyed three enemy tanks, an armored fighting vehicle, 29 artillery systems, an MLRS, 347 operational-tactical drones, a heavy flamethrower system, and 83 military vehicles.
Meanwhile, analysts at the Institute for the Study of War (ISW) reported that Russian forces have been unable to break through on the Pokrovsk direction.
Also, during the night, Ukraine was under a combined attack by the Russian army. But it was not only Ukraine - hostile aerial targets were also recorded in Poland.
