Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of August 30

As of 10:00 PM on August 30, there have been 136 combat clashes on the front since the start of the day. The heaviest fighting was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian strikes
Today, Russian forces launched two missiles and 51 air strikes, using three missiles and 96 guided bombs. In addition, they deployed 1,768 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,192 attacks on positions of Ukrainian troops and populated areas.
Frontlines update
In the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian defenders repelled nine Russian attacks. Since the beginning of the day, Russian forces have carried out three air strikes, dropping ten guided bombs and conducting 94 artillery attacks, including one with multiple launch rocket systems.
In the South Slobozhanskyi direction, Ukrainian troops stopped eight Russian attacks near Vovchansk and Kamyanka.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces conducted eight assaults on Ukrainian positions near Petropavlivka and Kupiansk.
In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attacked 24 times near Novyi Mir, Kolodyazi, Dibrova, and toward Shandryholove and Dronivka.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled four attacks near Serebrianka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian forces successfully repelled one assault near Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces attacked 11 times, focusing on Pleshchiivka, Rusyn Yar, and Poltavka. Ukrainian defenders stopped 10 assaults, while one battle is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attempted 38 times to break through Ukrainian defenses near Shakhove, Sukhetske, Nykanorivka, Volodymyrivka, Novoekonomichne, Myroliubivka, Chervonyi Lyman, Promin, Lysivka, Zvirove, Kotlyne, Udachne, Novoukrainka, and toward Pokrovsk and Zolotyi Kolodiaz. Four combat engagements are still ongoing. Ukrainian forces eliminated 111 Russian soldiers here, 66 of them irretrievably, and destroyed two UAV command posts, one artillery piece, two vehicles, and ten Russian drones.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russian forces attacked 13 times near Oleksandrohrad, Maliivka, Shevchenko, Zelenе Pole, and toward Novoselivka and Komyshuvakha. All attacks were repelled.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces attacked four times near Kamianske.
In the Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi directions, Russian forces did not conduct assaults but launched an air strike on Bilohiria.
In other directions, the situation did not undergo significant changes.
Russian losses
During the previous day (August 29–30), Russian forces lost another 850 soldiers in battles against the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 47 Russian artillery systems and 106 vehicles.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, Russian personnel losses have already exceeded 1 million.
