As of 4:00 PM Kyiv time on July 27, there have been 89 combat clashes on the front since the start of the day. Russia is conducting attacks in 12 directions, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russian shelling

Today, Russian forces again struck settlements near the border with Russia. Specifically, artillery shelling hit the following settlements:

  • Yanzhulivka in the Chernihiv region;
  • Kucherivka, Slavgorod, Uhroidy, Khliborob, and Revyakine in the Sumy region.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian troops repelled three enemy attacks today. Two more clashes are ongoing. The enemy also launched nine airstrikes, using 20 guided aerial bombs. They carried out 163 shelling attacks, including three with multiple rocket launchers.

"Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks near the settlements of Zelene, Fyholivka, Zapadne, and toward Petro-Ivanivka in the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction," the General Staff states.

In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces twice tried to advance on Ukrainian positions near Bohuslavka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked eight times today near Hrekivka and in the directions of Hryhorivka and Shandryholove.

In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully stopped two Russian attacks near Serebrianka. Two more clashes continue near Verkhniokamyanske and Hryhorivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy advance attempt near Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched ten attacks on Ukrainian positions in the areas of Oleksandro-Kalynove, Rusynyi Yar, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, and Yablunivka. Three clashes are still ongoing.

In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces attacked our defenders 29 times today near the settlements of Novoekonomichne, Razine, Myroliubivka, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Horikhove, Oleksiivka, Poltavka, Kotlyne, and in the directions of Pokrovsk, Bilytske, Novoukrainka, Novopavlivka, Zapovidne, and Rodynske. One clash continues.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled Russian attacks near Zelene Pole, Piddubne, Myrne, and toward Temyrivka. Three out of four enemy offensive actions were repelled. One clash remains ongoing.

In the Huliaipole direction, no clashes occurred since the start of the day. Russian forces launched an airstrike on the settlement of Bilohiria.

In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces did not conduct active operations.

In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy made three attempts to advance toward Prydniprovskyi. Additionally, they dropped guided aerial bombs on the settlement of Lvove.

Russian losses in the Ukraine war

Since July 26-27, Russian forces have lost another 920 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also destroyed 10 artillery systems, 122 units of vehicles, and 199 drones.

It is worth noting that the Russian losses have recently exceeded 1 million personnel since the full-scale invasion of Ukraine began.
