Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of July 15

The situation on the front remains tense. Over the past day, July 14, Russian forces carried out 185 combat engagements, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
The Russian army launched 2 missiles, conducted 84 airstrikes, and dropped 154 guided aerial bombs. In total, there were 5,521 attacks, including 90 from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and 3,842 kamikaze drones were used.
The following settlements came under attack:
- Shostka (Sumy region),
- Bilohirya, Novodanylivka, Plavni, Mala Tokmachka (Zaporizhzhia region),
- Odradokamianka (Kherson region).
In response, Ukrainian aviation, artillery, and rocket forces struck 11 enemy concentration areas, two artillery systems, and five command posts.
Situation by directions
Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Slobozhanskyi directions: A total of 20 combat engagements were recorded. The enemy carried out 16 airstrikes, dropped 39 guided bombs, and launched 372 attacks, including 9 using multiple launch rocket systems.
Southern Slobozhanskyi direction: Russian forces launched five assault attempts in the areas of Vovchansk and Zelenyi.
Kupiansk direction: Six enemy attacks took place near Kindrashivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Zahryzove, as well as in the directions of Pishchane, Nova Kruhlakivka, and Petropavlivka.
Lyman direction: The enemy launched 27 assaults. Intense fighting was recorded in the areas of Hrekivka, Novomykhailivka, Karpivka, Novyi Myr, Kolodiazi, Serebrianka, Torske, and toward Novosergiivka and Shandryholove.
Siversk direction: Ukrainian forces repelled 11 enemy attacks in the directions of Hryhorivka, Ivano-Darivka, Verkhniokamianske, and Vyiimka.
Kramatorsk direction: Four combat engagements occurred near Stupochky, Predtechyne, and Bila Hora.
Toretsk direction: The enemy attacked six times in the areas of Toretsk, Rusyn Yar, Dyliivka, and toward Katerynivka.
Pokrovsk direction: This remains the hottest zone on the front. A total of 55 assault and offensive operations were recorded near Novoekonomichne, Myrne, Rodynske, Fedorivka, Razine, Lysivka, Zvirove, Udachne, Poltavka, Promin, Muravka, Dachne, Novopavlivka, Oleksiivka, as well as in the directions of Volodymyrivka, Pokrovsk, and Myrnohrad.
Novopavlivka direction: Defense forces repelled 23 enemy attacks in the areas of Novokhatske, Zaporizhzhia, Komar, Myrne, Piddubne, Novosilka, Novopil, Voskresenka, Vilne Pole, Shevchenko, Zelene Pole, and Temyrivka.
Huliaipole direction: No offensive activity by the enemy was recorded.
Orikhiv direction: The occupiers carried out two assault attempts against Ukrainian positions near Kamianske.
Prydniprovskyi direction: Russian forces launched nine unsuccessful attacks.
Volyn and Polissia directions: No signs of offensive group formation were detected.
Russian losses in the war
As reported, Russian occupying forces lost 1,230 personnel in the past 24 hours.
Additionally, Ukrainian troops destroyed three tanks, six armored combat vehicles, 52 artillery systems, two multiple launch rocket systems, 245 operational-tactical UAVs, and 122 units of enemy automotive equipment.
