As of 10:00 p.m. on June 22, a total of 107 combat engagements were recorded along the front lines over the past day, with the heaviest fighting reported in the Pokrovsk direction, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy attacks

During the day, the enemy carried out three missile strikes and 50 air attacks, launched nine rockets, and dropped 60 guided bombs (KAB). Additionally, they deployed 1,099 kamikaze drones and conducted 4,439 shelling attacks on populated areas and Ukrainian military positions.

Frontline situation

In the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, Ukrainian forces have repelled 15 enemy assault attempts since the start of the day. Two more clashes are still ongoing.

In the Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction, the enemy attempted to storm Ukrainian positions seven times near the towns of Vovchansk, Stroivka, and Fyholivka. One battle is still ongoing.

Ukrainian defenders repelled three attacks in the Kupiansk direction, in the areas of Stepova Novoselivka, Zelenyi Hai, and toward Holubivka.

Ukrainian forces stopped twelve enemy assaults near the settlements of Novyi Myr, Karpivka, Ridkodub, and Kolodiazi in the Lyman direction, with two clashes still ongoing.

In the Siversk direction, the enemy launched three offensive actions near Hryhorivka and Ivano-Dariivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, our defenders repelled four enemy attempts to advance near Chasiv Yar and in the direction of Predtechyne and Bila Hora. One clash is still ongoing.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army launched 13 assaults today on our defensive positions near Dylivka, Toretsk, Leonidivka, Rusynyi Yar, and Yablunivka. The defense forces held firm, repelling 12 attacks, with one battle still underway.

In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy carried out 36 attacks, showing heightened activity near Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Myrne, Promin, Novoserhiivka, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Muravka, and Oleksiivka. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.

“Preliminary estimates indicate that today our soldiers eliminated 166 enemy fighters and wounded another 121. They destroyed an armored combat vehicle, five cars, ten motorcycles, two artillery guns, eight drone control antennas, a Molniya drone, a satellite communication terminal, an electronic warfare station, a communication antenna, and an enemy generator. Additionally, they heavily damaged an armored combat vehicle, three motorcycles, a BM-21 multiple rocket launcher, and four artillery systems of the Russian forces,” the report states.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Ukrainian units repelled five enemy attacks near the villages of Vesele, Shevchenko, and Vilne Pole. Two clashes are currently ongoing.

No significant changes have been reported in other directions.

Russian army losses

Over the 24-hour period from June 21 to 22, Russian forces lost 1,100 soldiers in battles against Ukraine. Additionally, the Ukrainian Armed Forces destroyed 39 artillery systems, 157 drones, and 117 vehicles.

It’s important to note that since February 24, 2022, Russian military losses have exceeded one million personnel.
