Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of June 22

In the past 24 hours, 171 combat clashes were recorded on the front. The Russian army heavily used aviation, artillery, and kamikaze drones, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian forces intensified attacks across multiple directions, conducting over 6,000 artillery strikes and massive air raids, employing guided bombs, missiles, and kamikaze drones.
Enemy attacks
According to updated information, in the past day, Russians launched 5 missile strikes using 14 missiles, carried out 82 airstrikes, deployed 140 guided bombs, and used 3,410 kamikaze drones against Ukrainian positions and civilian areas. The enemy also conducted 6,366 artillery strikes, including 88 from multiple rocket launcher systems.
Airstrikes targeted populated areas in Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions. Settlements hit include Komisareve, Hlyboke, Pokaliane, Kreidianka, Artilne, Milove (Kharkiv region); Novoekonomichne, Pankivka, Volodymyrivka, Zoria, Voskresenka (Donetsk region); Novodarivka, Stepnohirsk (Zaporizhzhia region); Kozatske (Kherson region), among others.
Ukrainian armed forces actions
Ukrainian missile troops and artillery struck 12 enemy concentration areas, destroying 7 artillery systems, an ammunition depot, and another key enemy facility.
Frontline situation
On the Northern-Slobozhanskyi and Kursk directions, 17 enemy attacks were repelled. The enemy launched 12 airstrikes, dropped 26 guided bombs, and conducted 260 shelling attacks, including 8 from multiple rocket launcher systems.
Southern-Slobozhanskyi direction – 9 attacks near Vovchansk, Kamianka, Krasne Pershe, Fyholivka, toward Lyptsi.
Kupiansk direction – 5 attacks near Zahryzove and Holubivka.
Lyman direction – 21 combat clashes near Hrekivka, Ridkodub, Yampilivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Cherneshchyna, Olhivka, Novyi Myr, Karpivka.
Siversk direction – 15 attacks repelled near Verkhniokamyanske, Hryhorivka, and Serebrianka.
Kramatorsk direction – 11 attacks near Chasiv Yar, Bila Hora, Stupochky, and Predtechyne.
Toretsk direction – 15 attacks near Dyliivka, Toretsk, Shcherbynivka, Yablunivka, Rusynyi Yar.
Pokrovsk direction – the hottest frontline with 53 assaults near Myrne, Malynivka, Myroliubivka, Promen, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Udachne, Pokrovsk, Poltavka, Novopavlivka, Myrnohrad, and others.
Novopavlivka direction – 9 attacks near Myrne, Shevchenko, Vilne Pole, Novopil.
Huliaipole direction – no combat clashes reported.
Orikhiv direction – 3 attacks repelled near Novoandriivka and Kamianske.
Prydniprovskyi direction – enemy attempted to advance 4 times but failed.
Volyn and Polissia directions – no signs of offensive group formations detected.
Russian losses in the war in Ukraine
In the past day, Russian forces lost 1,100 personnel.
Ukrainian forces also destroyed nine tanks, two armored combat vehicles, 39 artillery systems, 157 operational-tactical drones, seven missiles, and 117 enemy vehicles.
