Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 15

Over the past 24 hours, 99 combat clashes were recorded along the entire front line. Pokrovsk direction remains the most severe, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Yesterday, the Russian invaders launched one missile and 119 air strikes on Ukraine, used one missile, and dropped 191 guided air bombs. In addition, they launched 3,275 kamikaze drones to destroy the positions of Ukrainian troops and settlements and carried out 6,590 attacks on them.
Russia carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of the settlements:
- Osoivka, Mazenivka, Krasnopillia, Myropilske, Prokhody, Uhroidy, Mykhailivske, Petrushivka, Riasne, Mala Rybytsia and Stepok in the Sumy region;
- Slatyne, Udy in the Kharkiv region;
- Yablunivka, Nova Poltavka, Hrodivka, Oleksandro-Kalynove in the Donetsk region;
- Huliaipole, Zaliznychne, Stepnohirsk, Novoandriivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Situation on fronts
In the Kupiansk direction, Russians attacked once during the day. The defense forces repelled the enemy's assault actions near Novaya Kruglyakivka.
In the Lyman direction, Russia attacked 20 times. They tried to advance near the settlements of Nadiia, Nove, Katerynivka, Hrekivka, Zelena Dolyna, Torske, Bilohorivka, and Hryhorivka.
In the Siversk direction, in the areas of the settlements of Verkhniokamianske and Ivano-Dariivka, Russia attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops 3 times.
In the Kramatorsk direction, 4 combat clashes were recorded near the settlements of Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, and in the direction of Maiske.
In the Toretsk direction, Russia carried out 11 attacks near the settlements of Ozarianivka and Toretsk.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 28 Russian assault and offensive actions in the areas of the settlements of Sukha Balka, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Kotliarivka, Bohdanivka, and Andriivka.
In the Novopavlivka direction, Russia attacked Ukrainian positions 7 times near the settlements of Kostiantynopol and Rozlyv.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 Russian assaults in the areas of the settlements of Stepove, Lobkove, and Maly Shcherbaky.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 2 Russian attempts to advance.
In the Kursk direction, 17 combat clashes took place over the past day. Russia launched 56 air strikes, dropped 89 guided bombs, and carried out 436 artillery attacks, including 26 from multiple rocket launcher systems.
No signs of Russian offensive formations were detected in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
Russian losses
Over the past day, aviation, missile troops, and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces hit 5 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, 2 air defense systems, 4 command posts, 8 artillery systems, 3 radar/electronic warfare systems, and 2 other important Russian facilities.
In total, over the past day, Russian losses amounted to 1,180 invaders. Ukrainian soldiers also neutralized 7 Russian tanks, 20 armored combat vehicles, 68 artillery systems, 2 MLRS, 2 air defense systems, 147 operational-tactical drones, and 210 units of automotive equipment.
