Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of March 24

Since the beginning of March 24, there have been 87 combat clashes on the front. Russian troops are most active in the Pokrovsk direction, where they have already carried out 31 attacks, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv direction, Russia attacked the positions of the Defense Forces twice near the settlement of Vovchansk. The settlements of Svitlychne and Slatyne were hit by airstrikes.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of Ukrainian troops four times in the areas of Petropavlivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zahryzove. Three combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army attacked 12 times near Yampolivka and in the directions of Stepove, Novomykhailivka, Nove, Zarichne, and Dronivka. Seven combat clashes are still ongoing.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attacked the positions of the Defense Forces three times near Chasiv Yar and in the direction of Dyliivka.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched 10 attacks today in the areas of Toretsk and near Dyliivka, Dachne, and Krymske. One battle is still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the beginning of the day, the Russians have made 31 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions in the areas of Panteleimonivka, Oleksandropil, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Kotlyne, Udachne, Uspenivka, Novoandriivka, Andriivka, and in the direction of Pokrovsk, Kotliarivka, and Oleksiivka.
The Defense Forces are holding back the enemy's pressure and have repelled 27 attacks. Four combat clashes are still ongoing. Enemy losses are being clarified.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attacked eight times near the settlement of Kostiantynopil and in the direction of Vesele.
In the Huliaipole direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian troops twice, trying to advance towards Vilne Pole. It also carried out airstrikes on the areas of Novodarivka, Malynivka, and Huliaipole.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted to advance towards Lobkove. The settlement of Kamianske was hit by an airstrike.
In the Siversk and Prydniprovia directions, the enemy did not conduct active offensive actions.
In the operational zone in the Kursk region, Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 10 attacks during the day, while four more battles are still ongoing. The enemy carried out five airstrikes, dropping eight guided aerial bombs and conducting nearly 190 shelling attacks, including two from multiple rocket launch systems.
Russia’s losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 904,000 troops.
Just in the past 24 hours, Russian army losses amounted to 1,280 soldiers. Yesterday, the Defense Forces also destroyed 8 tanks, 16 armored fighting vehicles, 81 artillery systems, 146 drones, and other equipment.
