Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of March 22

Over the past day, more than 140 battles took place on the frontlines, with the enemy actively using aviation and suicide drones. Ukrainian defenders are holding their positions and inflicting significant losses on the occupiers, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF).
Ukrainian defense forces continue to repel the Russian occupiers' offensive actions, inflicting significant losses on them. Over the past day, 142 combat engagements have been recorded.
Frontline situation
The occupiers are actively using aviation and artillery. A total of 85 airstrikes were recorded, with 134 guided bombs dropped. The enemy carried out 6,407 shelling attacks, including 199 from multiple rocket launchers, and used nearly three thousand suicide drones.
Attempts to break through have been recorded in various directions:
Kharkiv direction: 6 attacks near Vovchansk.
Kupiansk direction: 6 attacks near Holubivka, Kruhliakivka, Zahryzove, and Pishchane.
Lyman direction: 22 attacks near Kopanky, Novomykhailivka, Zelena Dolyna, Yampolivka, Torske, and Ivanivka.
Siversk direction: 5 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka, Rozdolivka, and Ivano-Daryivka.
Kramatorsk direction: 4 attacks near Chasiv Yar and Predtechyne.
Toretsk direction: 19 attacks near Dachne, Druzhba, Dyliivka, and Toretsk.
Pokrovsk direction: 37 attacks in the areas of Zelene Pole, Yelyzavetivka, Lysivka, Udaine, Preobrazhenka, Bohdanivka, and Andriivka.
Novopavlivsk direction: 11 attacks in the direction of Konstantynopil, Dniproenerhiya, and Rozlyv.
Huliaipole direction: 2 attacks near Novosilka and Pryvilne.
Orikhiv direction: No change, no combat engagements recorded.
Prydniprovskyi direction: 1 unsuccessful attack by the occupiers.
Volyn and Polissia directions: No signs of preparations for an offensive detected.
Situation in the Kursk region
Ukrainian forces continue operations on Russian territory. Over the past day, the occupiers carried out 18 airstrikes (25 guided bombs) and 276 shelling attacks, including 9 from multiple rocket launchers. The enemy attempted to storm the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces 23 times, with one engagement still ongoing.
It should be noted that throughout the day, Ukrainian forces struck 26 areas where the enemy concentrated personnel, equipment, and weapons, and also destroyed an air defense system, five artillery systems, and a command post.
Overall Russian losses amounted to 1,210 personnel, 9 tanks, 20 armored vehicles, 96 artillery systems, three multiple rocket launchers, and 258 drones.
