Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 25

Over the past day, 98 combat engagements were recorded along the entire front line. Ukrainian defenders are steadfastly holding back the onslaught of the occupiers, inflicting significant losses on the enemy, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
According to the General Staff, yesterday, the enemy carried out 85 airstrikes on the positions of Ukrainian units and populated areas, dropping 117 guided aerial bombs (GABs). In addition, the enemy conducted nearly 5,000 shelling attacks, including 108 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and deployed 2,438 kamikaze drones for attacks.
The aggressor carried out airstrikes in the areas of the following settlements:
- Halahanivka, Chernihiv region
- Huliaipole, Kamianske, Zaporizhzhia region
Situation on the front lines
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attempted twice to break through the defensive lines of Ukrainian defenders near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Russian troops launched 11 attacks. Ukrainian forces repelled assaults near Petropavlivka, Zahryzove, and Nova Krugliakivka.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked six times, trying to breach Ukrainian defenses near Zelena Dolyna, Borivska Andriivka, Novolubivka, Dibrova, and Katerynivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Russian troops launched two attacks in Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian troops carried out 11 assaults near Toretsk and Krymske.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Ukrainian defenders stopped 28 enemy assaults toward the settlements of Vodyane Druhe, Promin, Pokrovsk, Leontovychi, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Nadiivka, Troitske, Andriivka, Tarasivka, and Ulakly.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy conducted 13 attacks toward Kostiantynopil and Burlatske.
In the Huliaipole direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack near Novopil.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupation forces launched three assaults on Ukrainian positions near Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces are trying to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory and successfully repelled two offensive actions by the enemy in the Prydniprovskyi sector near the settlement of Sadove.
In the Siversk direction, No active enemy operations were recorded in the past 24 hours.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of enemy offensive group formation were detected.
Ukrainian forces continue operations in Kursk Oblast (Russia). Over the past day, the enemy carried out 34 airstrikes, dropped 43 guided aerial bombs (GABs), and conducted 375 shelling attacks, 17 of which were MLRS strikes. Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 enemy assaults.
Enemy losses
Ukrainian forces continue to inflict significant losses on the occupying troops, both in manpower and equipment, while also actively weakening the enemy’s offensive potential in the rear.
Over the past day, the missile and artillery units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck three enemy troop concentrations, an enemy command post, and a Buk-M3 air defense system.
Overall, enemy losses in the past 24 hours amounted to 1,300 personnel. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed:

- 26 artillery systems
- 2 air defense systems
- 122 operational-tactical drones
- 138 vehicles
- 2 pieces of special equipment
