Today, Russians launched 11 air strikes and one missile attack, used 20 guided bombs and one missile, engaged 751 kamikaze drones in attacks, and fired about four thousand times at Ukrainian settlements and positions.

The situation on the frontlines

With the support of bomber aircraft, the enemy is attacking the positions of Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction. During the day, the enemy made 63 offensive attacks. The Russian occupants are most active in the areas of Baranivka, Yelizavetivka, Promin, Lysivka, Zelene, Novyi Trud, Zvirove, Novoandriivka, Uspenivka, Slovianka and Kostiantynopolske. Our defenders are bravely holding the line, repelling 52 enemy attacks, eleven combat engagements are still ongoing. The guided bombs hit Pokrovsk and Novopavlivka.

“According to preliminary estimates, today our troops eliminated 189 militants and wounded 188. One tank, two armored personnel carriers, three vehicles, and a Russian UAV antenna were destroyed. Two vehicles were also damaged,” the statement said.

In the Kharkiv direction, the Russians unsuccessfully stormed the positions of Ukrainian troops once, trying to advance in the direction of Kozacha Lopan.

Russian militants attacked Ukrainian fortifications in the Kupiansk direction sixteen times in the areas of Holubivka, Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, and Zahryzove, three firefights are currently underway.

Ukrainian troops repelled nineteen Russian attacks near Zelenyi Hai, Novoyehorivka, Makiivka, Terny, Zarichne, Hryhorivka, and in Serebryansky forest in the Lyman direction.

In the Siversk direction, the Russian troops made one attempt to push Ukrainian forces from their positions near Bilohorivka.

In the Kramatorsk direction, they attacked the positions of Ukrainian units 22 times near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky, fighting is still ongoing in several locations.

In the Toretsk direction, the adversary stormed the positions of our defenders six times today in the areas of Toretsk and Dyliyivka. One firefight is still ongoing.

In the Novopavlivka direction, Russians attacked Ukrainian troops five times in the areas of Novosilka and Velyka Novosilka during the day.

In the Prydniprovsky direction, two Russian attacks failed.

In the Kursk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 17 enemy attacks today. One firefight is ongoing.

There were no significant changes in the situation in other sectors.

“Today, it is worth mentioning the soldiers of the 79th separate airborne assault brigade of the Tauride, the 100th separate mechanized brigade, and the 24th separate mechanized brigade named after King Danylo, who are effectively destroying the enemy, causing significant losses in manpower and equipment,” the General Staff summarized.

213 Russian attacks were recorded at the frontline on January 10. One-third of them, like today, occurred in the Pokrovsk sector.
