Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 30

The situation at the Russia-Ukraine front remains tense. A total of 104 combat clashes have been since the beginning of the day on December 30, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv sector, Russian troops twice unsuccessfully attacked the defensive lines of Ukrainian units near Vovchansk and Lyptsi.
In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled four enemy attacks near Holubivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kruhliakivka, and Zahryzove. Seven more clashes are ongoing.
In the Lyman sector, the Russian army carried out ten attacks near Kopanky, Nadiia, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Ivanivka, and Terny. Fighting is currently ongoing in two locations.
Russia conducted one attack in the Siversk sector near Bilohorivka, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the attack.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled three assaults near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky, and four combat engagements are ongoing.
In the Toretsk sector, Russians tried to force Ukrainian units out of their positions near Shcherbynivka and in Toretsk, where the Defense Forces repelled two attacks. Four firefights are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Russian forces have made 30 attempts to push Ukrainian defenders from their positions near Vozdvyzhenka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Zelene, Dachenske, Novyi Trud, Shevchenko, Vovkove, Novoolenivka and Novoielyzavetivka. Defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled 23 Russian attacks, seven clashes are still ongoing. Russia's losses are being clarified.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Russians conducted 11 attacks near Petropavlivka, Slovianka, Shevchenko, and Kurakhove. Two attacks are ongoing.
In the Vremivka sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 Russian attacks near Yantarne, Uspenivka, Vremivka, and in the direction of Kostiantynopol and Novosilka. Four firefights are currently ongoing.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost more than 787,000 military personnel.
Over the past 24 hours, Russia's losses amounted to 2,010 people. Ukrainian soldiers also damaged seven tanks, 22 armored combat vehicles, 44 artillery systems, 31 operational and tactical UAVs, and 141 units of enemy vehicles.
