Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 25

Since the beginning of the day on December 25, 128 combat engagements have occurred on the frontlines. The Russian troops are most actively attacking in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
In the Kharkiv direction, one combat engagement took place with Russian troops near Vovchansk.
Five assault actions were recorded near Dvorichna, Pishchane, Kolisnykivka, and Lozova in the Kupiansk direction, three of which are still ongoing.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy is attacking in the areas of Novoiehorivka, Kopanky, Zelenyi Hai, Makiivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Serebryanske forestry, and in the direction of Druzheliubivka. A total of 19 combat engagements have been recorded in this direction since the start of the day, with three still ongoing.
In the Siversk direction, our forces repelled one enemy attack near Bilohorivka.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled four enemy attempts to advance near Stupochky, with one combat engagement still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, the enemy launched six attacks on our forces' positions near the settlements of Toretsk and Shcherbynivka. Three combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, today the enemy launched 35 attacks on our defenders' positions in the areas of the settlements of Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Myrolyubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Pokrovsk, Novyi Trud, Zelene, and Novotroitske, with seven combat engagements still ongoing.
In the Kurakhove direction, our defenders repelled 14 attacks in the areas of Petropavlivka, Sloviansk, Yaseneve, Kurakhove, and Dachne. Seven enemy assaults have already been repelled by our defenders, with seven more ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, 17 enemy assaults were stopped near Kostyantynopil, Yantarne, Kostyantynivka, Rozlyv, Velyka Novosilka, Novosilka, Blahodatne, and Vremivka, with eight more still ongoing.
In the Orikhiv direction, our defenders successfully repelled two enemy attempts to advance toward Novodanylivka.
Sixteen combat engagements have been recorded today in the Kursk direction, with eight still ongoing. In addition, the enemy launched 266 artillery strikes.
In the Huliaipole and Prydniprovskyi directions, the enemy did not conduct any active operations since the start of the day.
Russia's losses in the war
According to the General Staff, since the beginning of the full-scale war against Ukraine, Russia has lost over 779,000 military units.
In just the past day, the Defense Forces eliminated another 1,600 Russian soldiers, as well as destroyed 4 tanks, 8 armored combat vehicles, 10 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
