Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 25

Over the past day, December 24, there were 266 combat clashes on the frontlines, with the heaviest enemy pressure recorded in the Pokrovsk direction, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports.
"Over the past day, the missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck one UAV control point, an ammunition depot, five personnel concentration areas, an electronic warfare system, and two enemy artillery systems," the General Staff stated.
Situation across directions
- Kharkiv direction: Russian forces conducted five assaults near Vovchansk and Vysoka Yaruha.
- Kupiansk direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled 23 enemy attacks near Petropavlivka, Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, and Lozova.
- Lyman direction: The enemy launched 31 assaults near Druzheliubivka, Zelenyi Hai, Novoiehorivka, Makiivka, Terny, Torske, and toward Hryhorivka.
- Siversk direction: Ukrainian forces repelled one enemy attack near Bilohorivka.
- Kramatorsk direction: Russian forces attacked 14 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Predtechyne.
- Toretsk direction: The enemy made 16 attempts to advance near Toretsk, Druzhba, and Dachne.
- Pokrovsk direction: Ukrainian forces halted 60 assault and offensive actions by the aggressor.
- Kurakhove direction: The Russian army carried out 36 attacks near Petropavlivka, Shevchenko, and the Kurakhove area.
- Vremivka direction: Ukrainian defenders repelled 34 enemy assaults in the areas of Uspenivka, Yantarne, and Kostyantynopolske, among others.
- Prydniprovske direction: Russians attempted four times to push Defense Forces units out of their positions.
- In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders engaged in 37 combat clashes with Russian forces.
Russia's losses in war
Since the beginning of the full-scale war, Russia has lost over 779,000 military personnel. Over the past day alone, the Defense Forces eliminated an additional 1,600 Russian occupiers and destroyed the following:
- 4 tanks;
- 8 armored fighting vehicles;
- 10 artillery systems;
- and more.
