Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of December 6

Over the last day, December 5, 188 combat engagements took place in the frontline in Ukraine. Most of them were in the Kurakhove sector, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 50 Russian attacks,” the statement says.
In particular, Russia made the main efforts in the areas of Berestky, Stari Terny, Zoria, Sontsivka, Kurakhove, Dalne, Yelyzavetivka, Hannivka, Romanivka and Uspenivka.
In addition, 40 attacks took place in the Pokrovsk sector in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachanske, Zhovte, Pushkine, Novotroitske, Shevchenko, Novopryinka, and 37 in the Vremivka sector.

In the Kharkiv sector, one unsuccessful Russian attack took place in the vicinity of Tykhe.
In the Kupiansk sector, 5 Russian attacks took place over the last day. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russian assaults near Nova Kruhliakivka, Lozova, and Synkivka.
Russia attacked the Lyman sector 16 times. It tried to advance near the settlements of Hrekivka, Tverdokhlibove, Yampolivka, Terny, Zarichne, Torske, Druzheliubivka, Bilohorivka and in the Serebrianske forestry.
In the Kramatorsk sector, Russians attacked 5 times in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, and Predtechyne.
In the Toretsk sector, Russia carried out 6 attacks near Toretsk and Nilipivka.
In the Orikhiv sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled a Russian attack in the direction of Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Russian invaders attacked Ukrainian positions 4 times.
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, no signs of Russian offensive groups were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russians are actively using artillery and aviation from the territory of Russia in the vicinity of Ukrainian settlements.
The Ukrainian Defense Forces continue operations in the Kursk region. Russian aircraft are striking with guided aerial bombs on the territory of Russia. At present, there are 12 air strikes involving 17 guided missiles and 492 artillery attacks.
Russian losses in Ukraine
Over the day, Russian losses amounted to 1,660 troops. Also, Ukrainian soldiers neutralized 8 Russian tanks, 46 armored combat vehicles, 20 artillery systems, 46 operational and tactical drones, 2 cruise missiles, 56 vehicles, and three units of Russian special equipment.
In addition, the missile troops and artillery of the Ukrainian Defense Forces conducted 4 strikes on the areas of concentration of Russian personnel.
