Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 27
As of the evening of November 27, 150 combat engagements occurred in the frontline. Today, the most intense situation is in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions. The enemy is also active in the Kupiansk and Vremivsk directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy shelling
Today, Russian forces carried out 11 airstrikes on Ukrainian territory, dropping 22 guided aerial bombs and deploying 648 kamikaze drones.
Additionally, the enemy conducted nearly 4,000 artillery attacks on Ukrainian positions and civilian settlements.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched five attacks near Vovchansk and Tykhe, and one clash is still ongoing.
Throughout the day, the enemy lost 77 personnel killed or wounded in this direction. Ukrainian forces destroyed two artillery systems, one vehicle, 13 UAVs, and four pieces of specialized enemy equipment. They also damaged one armored fighting vehicle, six vehicles, and four additional pieces of specialized equipment.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces attempted to advance 17 times toward Ukrainian positions near Kolisnykivka, Zahryzove, Zelenyi Hai, and Kruhliakivka. Ukraine's Defense Forces repelled all attacks.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy launched four attacks in Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, and Torske, all successfully repelled. Russian aviation also targeted Ivanivka and Torske with guided aerial bombs.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Russian forces were active near Bila Hora, but Ukrainian units repelled one assault. Vasukivka, Nykyforivka, and Markove came under airstrikes by Russian bombs.
In the Toretsk direction, supported by aviation, Russian troops launched six offensives against Ukrainian positions, all of which were repelled.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces have made 35 attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses since the start of the day, targeting the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Dachenske, Zhovte, and Chumatske. Ukrainian units repelled 26 attacks, and fighting is still ongoing. The enemy's losses are being clarified.
In the Kurakhove direction, Russian troops carried out 36 assaults on Ukrainian positions, with the greatest activity near Sontsivka, Berestky, Kurakhove, Dalne, Yelyzavetivka, Antonivka, and Hanivka. Ukrainian defenders repelled 30 attacks, and six clashes are still underway.
In the Vremivka direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 14 enemy attacks near Trudove, Kostiantynopolske, Rozlyv, Rozdolne, Sukhi Yaly, and Novodarivka, while four clashes are ongoing. Russian aviation was actively used, dropping guided bombs on Novosilka and striking Velyka Novosilka with unguided rockets.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian forces conducted six unsuccessful assaults to dislodge Ukrainian units from their positions.
In the Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled 16 enemy attacks, with ongoing fighting.
Enemy's losses in the war
According to the General Staff, Russia has lost more than 735,000 troops since the start of its full-scale invasion.
In the past 24 hours alone, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated another 1,580 Russian troops and destroyed 14 tanks, 48 armored fighting vehicles, 24 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
