Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 24

As of 10:00 PM on November 24 (Kyiv time), 198 combat clashes have occurred on the frontlines since the beginning of the day. The Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions have seen the highest number of battles, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy shelling
Today, Russian forces launched one missile strike, including four missiles and 48 airstrikes, and dropped 54 guided aerial bombs on Ukrainian territory. Additionally, Russian forces deployed 540 kamikaze drones and carried out over 3,000 attacks on Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions six times in the areas of Kozacha Lopan, Tykhe, and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russian forces launched assaults near Novomlynsk, Kolisnykivka, Kruhliaivka, Senkove, and Lozova. Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 attacks, while four others remain ongoing. The enemy also conducted an airstrike on Bohuslavka.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian forces’ positions 20 times near Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Torske, and Serebrianka. Russian aerial bombs also hit the town of Lyman.
In the Kramatorsk direction, the enemy attempted advances near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky. Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks.
In the Toretsk direction, Russian forces made nine attempts to advance in Diliivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka but were pushed back.
In the Pokrovsk direction, the enemy launched 41 attacks in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Hryhorivka, Dachenske, Pustynka, and Chumatske since the start of the day. Ukrainian defenders repelled 32 enemy assaults, and nine clashes are ongoing.
"According to current data, the enemy’s losses in this direction have reached 336 personnel killed and wounded. Ukrainian forces also destroyed two tanks, two armored fighting vehicles, nine vehicles, and one artillery system," the General Staff reported.
In the Kurakhove direction, Russian forces made 57 attempts to breach Ukrainian defenses near Berestky, Sontsivka, Novodmytrivka, Zoria, Kurakhove, Dalne, Romanivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Hannivka. Fifty clashes have ended, with seven still ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the enemy attacked Ukrainian positions 14 times near Trudove, Novosilka, and Makarivka. Two engagements are ongoing. Russian forces also struck Velyka Novosilka with guided bombs and unguided aerial rockets.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, Russian forces made four unsuccessful attempts to dislodge Ukrainian forces from their positions. Russians suffered losses and retreated. The enemy targeted Mykolaivka with unguided rockets.
There were no significant changes in other directions.
Meanwhile, an operation continues in Russia’s Kursk region. Enemy aviation continues to target its villages and towns with guided aerial bombs. Ukrainian forces have repelled 21 enemy attacks since the beginning of the day, with clashes still underway.
"Today, we commend the 124th Separate Territorial Defense Battalion soldiers, who are effectively inflicting heavy losses on the enemy in manpower and equipment," the General Staff concluded.
As a reminder, 227 combat engagements were registered in the frontline on November 24. Most attacks occurred in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions.
