Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 24

As of 16:00, November 24, 122 battles have taken place at the front since the beginning of the day. Ukraine's defense forces are holding back the enemy's offensive and taking the necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deeper into Ukrainian territory, reports the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy shelling
Today, enemy artillery and mortar fire affected communities in the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, such as Solianyky, Khrinivka, Basivka, Zhuravka, Novenke, Oleksandria, Volfyne, Obody, and Tymofiivka.
In addition, enemy aircraft continue to destroy villages and towns in the Kursk region. Since the beginning of the day, Russian aircraft have carried out 18 strikes, dropping 21 guided bombs on Ukrainian territory.
Situation at the frontlines
In the Kharkiv direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our units twice near Tykhe and Vovchansk, repelled one attack, and the firefight is currently ongoing. Enemy aircraft also attacked Hranove with bombs.
In the Kupiansk direction, Russians attacked the Defense Forces eight times in the areas of Novomlynsk, Kolisnykivka, Kruhliakivka, Senkove, and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, the invading army made 19 attacks on Ukrainian positions near Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Novoyehorivka, Terny, Yampolivka, Torske and Serebryanka, three firefights are still ongoing. Ukrainian soldiers are steadfastly holding the line and inflicting losses on the enemy.
In the Kramatorsk direction, since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian Defense Forces units have repelled four attacks by Russian invaders near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.
In the Toretsk direction, the Russian troops made six attempts to advance in the areas of Dyliivka, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka, and one combat engagement is ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian invaders made 16 attempts to push our defenders from their positions in the areas of Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Hryhorivka, Dachenske, Pustynka and Chumatske. Defense forces are holding back the onslaught and repelled 12 enemy attacks, four combat engagements are still ongoing.
In the Kurakhove direction, the enemy army attacked 34 times near the settlements of Berestky, Sontsivka, Novodmitrivka, Zorya, Kurakhove, Dalne, Romanivka, Yelyzavetivka and Hanivka. Twenty-three attempts to advance have been repelled, and fighting continues.
In the Vremivka direction, five enemy attacks continue near Trudove, Novosilka, and Makarivka. Eight attacks in this area have already been repelled by Ukrainian defenders.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy tried to attack the positions of Ukrainian units once without success.
The operation in the Kursk region is ongoing. The defense forces have repelled 12 attacks by Russian troops in this area today, and the fighting continues.
In other areas, there are no major changes.
As of the morning of November 24, the losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the large-scale invasion of Ukraine have already exceeded 730 thousand soldiers. Over the past 24 hours, the enemy lost 1020 soldiers on the battlefield.
