Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 7

As of the evening of November 7, 140 combat engagements occurred in the frontline. The situation remains complicated in the Kurakhove direction as the enemy is concentrating its main offensive efforts there, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Enemy shelling
According to the General Staff, Russian forces launched 55 airstrikes today, deploying 87 guided bombs. Additionally, Russians used 687 kamikaze drones and conducted more than 3,600 shelling incidents on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched three assaults on Ukrainian positions near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 12 enemy attacks near Petropavlivka, Kruhliakivka, Kindrashivka, Kolisnykivka, and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian defenders 17 times today in areas around Druzheliubivka, Hrekivka, Makiivka, Katerynivka, Terny, Torske, Serebrianka, Bilohorivka, and Hryhorivka.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled one attack near Pereizne, with the enemy conducting an airstrike near Zakitne.
In the Kramatorsk direction, Ukrainian forces thwarted six enemy attempts to advance near Stupochky and Bila Hora, while one assault is still ongoing.
In the Toretsk direction, Ukrainian forces repelled four enemy attacks near Toretsk, where Russian forces, supported by airstrikes, attempted to improve their tactical position. Two more battles are ongoing.
In the Pokrovsk direction, Russian forces launched 23 assaults throughout the day, with Ukrainian forces repelling attacks near Myroliubivka, Promin, Lysivka, Krutyi Yar, Hryhorivka, Sukhyi Yar, and Selydove.
Enemy losses in this direction today include 357 personnel killed and wounded, a mortar, five armored vehicles, a tank, and seven military vehicles, as well as a damaged gun, tank, two vehicles, and two armored vehicles.
In the Kurakhove direction, heavy fighting continues as the enemy has attempted 50 advances. Most combat is ongoing near Illinka, Novoselydivka, Kreminna Balka, Novodmytrivka, Sontsivka, Maksymilianivka, Antonivka, Dalne, and Katerynivka. Russian forces also launched airstrikes around Kurakhove, Dalne, and Antonivka.
In the Vremivka direction, Russian forces launched five assaults on Ukrainian defensive lines near Trudove, Rozlyv, and Sukhyi Yaliv, using airstrikes near Novopil, Temyrivka, Novodarivka, and Velyka Novosilka.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russian forces used guided bombs in airstrikes around Zaporizhzhia, Mala Tokmachka, Novopavlivka, Novoandriivka, and Stepnohirsk, dropping nine bombs.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, the enemy attempted three unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian positions.
"The Ukrainian Defense Forces are continuing operations in the Kursk direction. Russian aviation conducted 18 airstrikes with 27 guided bombs in the Kursk region today," the General Staff added.
Enemy's losses in Ukraine
According to the General Staff, Russia has lost 704,300 personnel since the beginning of the full-scale war.
Over the past day, Ukrainian Defense Forces eliminated an additional 1,400 Russian soldiers, along with ten tanks, 20 armored vehicles, 24 artillery systems, and other enemy equipment.
