Over the past 24 hours, on October 10, 169 combat engagements took place along the front line, with the heaviest pressure from enemy forces observed in the Lyman direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

"Over the past day, the Defense Forces' aviation, missile forces, and artillery carried out eight strikes on areas of enemy personnel and equipment concentration. They hit two command posts, an artillery system, a helicopter, and an enemy fuel base," the General Staff reported.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces attacked five times in the areas of Vovchansk and Tykhу.

In the Kupiansk direction, 14 attacks were recorded near Synkivka, Lozova, Kolisnykivka, and Stepova Novoselivka.

In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked 30 times in the areas of Druzhkivka, Hrekivka, Ploshchanka, Nevske, Makiivka, Novosadove, Torske, and in the Serebryanske forestry.

In the Siversk direction, four attacks were repelled near Verkhniokamianske.

In the Kramatorsk direction, the Defense Forces repelled seven attacks near Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Chasiv Yar, and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk direction, the enemy carried out eight attacks.

In the Pervomaiske direction, 24 attacks were repelled, with the enemy focusing its efforts around Selydove, Krutyi Yar, Promin, Lysivka, Myroliubivka, and Kalynove.

In the Kurakhove direction, Russian forces attempted to break through the defense 24 times in areas near Novoselidivka, Kreminna Balka, Tsukuryne, and Heorhiivka.

In the Vremivka direction, the occupiers launched 11 attacks on our positions towards Bohoyavlenka.

In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy unsuccessfully attacked Ukrainian positions twice near Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne.

In the Prydniprovske direction, no loss of positions or territory was reported, with Ukrainian soldiers successfully repelling five Russian attacks.

Russian losses in war

In the past day, the Defense Forces eliminated another 1,140 Russian occupiers. Since the start of the war, Russia has lost more than 666,000 personnel. Yesterday alone, the following were destroyed:

  • 8 tanks
  • 35 armored combat vehicles, among other losses.
