As of 22:00 on October 1, 110 battles have taken place on the front lines since the start of the day. Ukrainian Defense Forces are focusing efforts on disrupting Russian offensive plans and depleting the enemy’s combat potential, according to a report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Enemy shelling

Today, the enemy launched 2 missile strikes, 59 airstrikes (including the use of 104 guided bombs), 446 kamikaze drone attacks, and carried out 2,713 shellings of Ukrainian military positions.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv direction, Russian forces launched five unsuccessful assaults on Ukrainian positions near Starytsia and Vovchansk. Another battle is still ongoing near Vovchansk, but the situation remains controlled.

"According to available information, the enemy lost 89 personnel, killed or wounded, in this direction today. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed two and damaged three vehicles," the report said.

The enemy launched 23 attacks on our fortifications in the Kupiansk direction. So far, 13 clashes have ended near Synkivka, Kolisnykivka, Hlushkivka, and Kruhliaivka, with 10 more attacks still underway.

In the Lyman direction, Russian forces attempted 15 assaults on Ukrainian positions throughout the day in the areas of Hrekivka, Nevske, Novosadove, and the Serebrianske Forestry. Three clashes are still ongoing.

In the Kramatorsk direction, five attempts by the Russian army to advance near Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka, and Stupochky failed.

In the Toretsk direction, the Russian army launched ten assaults today near Toretsk and Shcherbynivka, with enemy bombers actively engaged. Fighting continues in five locations.

The enemy is intensively attacking Ukrainian defenders in the Pokrovsk direction, with 22 assaults and offensive actions throughout the day. The highest activity of Russian forces remains in the areas of Myroliubivka, Yelyzavetivka, and Lysivka, with three clashes still ongoing.

"Preliminary estimates indicate that today our soldiers eliminated 61 and wounded 102 Russian soldiers. Six armored fighting vehicles, six vehicles, and an ammunition depot were destroyed. Additionally, three enemy armored vehicles and two vehicles were damaged," the General Staff reported.

In the Kurakhove direction, 21 clashes have been recorded so far, with eight ongoing assaults by Russian forces near Hirnyk, Heorhiyivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka.

In the Vremivka direction, the enemy attempted to break through to Bohoyavlenka but was thwarted by our brave defenders.

The enemy intensified its activity in the Orikhiv direction, launching three unsuccessful attacks near Novodanylivka and Mali Shcherbaky during the day. An attack near Kamianske is still ongoing, but the situation remains under control.

There were no significant changes in other directions.

Additionally, the General Staff commended the Ukrainian soldiers of the 28th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Knights of the Winter Campaign, and the 68th Separate Jager Brigade Oleksa Dovbush, who are steadfastly holding back the superior enemy forces on the eastern front.
