Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 21

The Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions remain the most active frontlines. Battles are also ongoing in the Kursk region, where the Russians dropped 25 air bombs over the past day, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on Facebook.
Over the past day, there were 217 combat clashes along the entire frontline.
Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces carried out eight strikes on enemy troop concentrations, destroying two command points, one air defense system, and seven of the occupiers' artillery systems.
Situation on the fronts
In the Kharkiv direction there were three enemy attacks near Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk direction the occupiers carried out 19 attacks during the day. The Defense Forces stopped all enemy assault actions near the settlements of Stepova Novoselivka, Synkivka, Stelmakhivka, Kruhliakivka, and Lozova.
In the Lyman direction Ukrainian forces repelled ten enemy attacks near Cherneshchyna, Hrekivka, Druzheliubivka, Novosadove, Terny, and Zarichne. The enemy focused its main efforts toward Nevske, launching eight more attacks there.
In the Siversk direction Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled one assault near Vyimka.
In the Kramatorsk direction with air support, the enemy attempted to break through the defense nine times near Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Ivanivske, and Bila Hora.
In the Toretsk direction, near the settlements of Dachne, Toretsk, and Shcherbynivka, the enemy launched nine attacks.
In the Pokrovske direction defenders repelled 36 enemy assaults of varying intensity near the settlements of Zelene Pole, Marynivka, Krasnyi Yar, Vozdvyzhenka, Novotoretsk, Myroliubivka, Hrodivka, Chervone, Selydove, and Novohrodivka.
In the Kurakhove direction Defense Forces repelled enemy attacks near Tsukuryn, Zhelanne Pershe, Heorhiivka, Hirnyk, Dalne, Oleksandrivka, Katerynivka, and Kostiantynivka, where the occupiers attempted to break through 58 times. The enemy was most active near Heorhiivka, launching 21 assaults during the day.
In the Vremivka direction with air support, the aggressor attacked Ukrainian positions 18 times near Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novodarivka, and Bohoyavlenka.
In the Orikhiv direction six combat clashes occurred near Mala Tokmachka, Lobkove, and Novodanylivka.
In the Prydniprovske direction the occupiers launched three unsuccessful attacks.
In the Kursk region enemy aircraft carried out 22 airstrikes, dropping 25 guided bombs on Russian territory over the past day.
Russia's losses at the front
Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine, the Russian regime has lost over 640,000 soldiers. In addition, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed tens of thousands of pieces of equipment, including planes, helicopters, air defense systems, and ships.
Over the past day, as reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Ukrainian forces eliminated 1,440 Russians.
