Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of September 11
As of 22:00 on September 11, there have been 93 combat engagements reported along the front line in Ukraine over the past 24 hours. The most intense fighting is occurring in the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove directions, according to the evening report from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Today, Russian forces launched five missile strikes and 49 air raids using 59 KABs, conducted 625 drone attacks, and carried out 3,671 artillery strikes on Ukrainian military positions and civilian areas using various types of weaponry.
Frontline situation
In the Kharkiv direction, the Russian army launched three attacks throughout the day near Hatyshche, Lyptsi, and Tykhe. Defense forces successfully repelled two of the enemy's offensive actions, with one engagement still ongoing.
"Preliminarily, the enemy has lost 108 personnel killed and wounded today. Ukrainian forces also destroyed two armored combat vehicles, two artillery systems, four units of automotive equipment, and two units of specialized equipment. Additionally, six artillery systems, one armored combat vehicle, and six units of automotive equipment belonging to the enemy were damaged," the report states.
In the Kupiansk direction, defense forces repelled 16 enemy attacks in the areas of Lozova, Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Stelmakhivka, and Andriivka. Three engagements are still ongoing, with the situation under control.
The enemy launched ten attacks in the Lyman direction, attempting to advance towards the settlements of Makiivka, Nevske, Terni, Hrekyivka, Druzhlyubivka, and Teverdokhlibove, where Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled all assaults.
In the Siversk direction, Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled one enemy assault in the area of Vyimka throughout the day.
With the support of aviation, the enemy made five attempts to breach the defense of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the Toretsk direction. During the day, the Russian army attacked Ukrainian positions near the settlements of Toretsk, Nelipivka, and Dachne.
In the Pokrovsk direction, since the start of the day, Ukrainian forces have repelled 30 enemy offensive and assault actions in the areas of Vozdvyzhivka, Zelenopillia, Novoolyandrivka, Hrodivka, Novotroitske, Novohrodivka, Selydove, and Mykhailivka.
"Preliminary data indicates that today the enemy has lost 276 personnel. Additionally, two tanks, two artillery systems, two armored combat vehicles, seven vehicles, and two units of specialized equipment have been destroyed. Another tank, two armored combat vehicles, and one artillery system have been damaged," the General Staff reported.
In the Kurakhove direction, there have been 22 combat engagements today. The Russian army remains active, attempting to advance in Kostiantynivka, Ukrainsk, and Heorhiivka. Currently, eight engagements are ongoing.
In the Vremivka direction, the Russian army launched eight attacks on Vuhledar, all of which were repelled. The situation remains under control.
In the Orikhiv direction, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy attacks near Mala Tokmachka, with no success for the adversary.
In the Prydniprovskyi direction, there have been no significant changes. Positions and territories have been maintained, and Ukrainian troops successfully halted four assaults by Russian forces.
Additionally, the General Staff praised the 35th Separate Marine Brigade named after Rear Admiral Mykhailo Ostrohradskyi for their steadfast defense and significant damage inflicted on the enemy.
Over the period from September 10 to September 11, Russian losses in the war against Ukraine amounted to 1,140 soldiers. Additionally, Ukrainian forces destroyed 56 artillery systems and 58 units of enemy automotive equipment.
