Over the past day, 145 combat engagements were registered at the frontline, which indicates the intensification of hostilities in several sectors, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

The fiercest fighting took place in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian defenders repelled 45 Russian attacks, in particular in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka and Novohrodivka. Russia was also actively advancing in the Toretsk sector, conducting 24 attacks.

Throughout yesterday, Russian troops launched 5 attacks with 8 missiles at the positions of Ukrainian units and localities and carried out 79 airstrikes using 106 guided aerial bombs. In addition, Russia fired more than 4,600 artillery rounds, including 159 from multiple launch rocket systems.

Settlements in Sumy, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions are the most affected by Russian strikes.

In response, Ukrainian aviation and missile forces conducted 17 strikes against Russian manpower and equipment, namely, artillery systems, air defense systems, command and control points, and radar stations.

The situation remains tense in other areas of the frontline. Fighting occurred in the Kharkiv, Kupiansk, Lyman, and Kramatorsk sectors, and other areas, where Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled Russian attacks.

No signs of Russian offensive groups formed in the Volyn and Polissia sectors. Still, Russian troops maintain a military presence on the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions and continue mortar and artillery shelling from the territory of Russia.
