Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of July 10

Over the last day, July 9, 147 combat engagements were registered in the frontline. The Pokrovsk sector remains the most difficult and Russians also attacked in the direction of Huliaipole, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Pokrovsk sector
In the Pokrovsk sector, the Ukrainian Armed Forces repelled 43 Russian assault and offensive attacks in the areas of Novooleksandrivka, Vozdvyzhenka, Yevhenivka, Kalynove, Novoselivka Persha, Yasnobrodivka and Karlivka in the Donetsk region, where the Russian invaders, supported by aviation, tried to force the Ukrainian Armed Forces from their positions.
Huliaipole sector
According to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in the Huliaipole sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 5 Russian attacks in the direction of Huliaipole.
"The situation is under control," the statement says.
Other sectors
In the Kharkiv sector, Russia continued to be active, with a total of 8 combat engagements. The fighting took place near the towns of Vovchansk, Starytsia and Lyptsi.
In the Kupiansk sector, Russians attacked Ukrainian positions 10 times. Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled Russian assaults near Berestove, Pishchane, and Synkivka.
In the Lyman sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 17 Russian attacks near Hrekivka, Nevske, and Makiivka in the Luhansk region and Terny in the Donetsk region.
In the Siversk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 7 Russian attacks near Bilohorivka, Verkhniokamianske, Vyimka, and Rozdolivka.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces stopped 12 Russian attempts to break through the Ukrainian defense in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Hryhorivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Toretsk sector, with the support of aviation, Russia carried out 18 attacks near the settlements of Pivdenne, Pivdenne, Toretsk, and New York.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the Russians in the vicinity of Netailove, Krasnohorivka, Paraskoviivka, and Kostiantynivka, where the Russians tried to break through the Ukrainian defense 11 times.
In the Vremivka sector, Russia made 10 attacks on the Ukrainian Armed Forces near Vodiane and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region.
In the Orikhivka sector, 5 combat engagements took place in the areas of Mala Tokmachka and Novoandriivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, Ukrainian troops repelled a Russian attack on the left bank. No positions were lost.
The operational situation in the Volyn and Polissia sectors remained unchanged. No signs of the formation of offensive groups of the Russians were detected.
On the border with Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia maintains a military presence, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells settlements from the Russian territory, and increases the density of minefields along the state border of Ukraine.
Russian losses at front
Yesterday, the total Russian losses amounted to 1100 troops. The Ukrainian Armed Forces also neutralized 2 Russian tanks, 11 armored combat vehicles, 36 artillery systems, 3 air defense systems, 51 operational and tactical UAVs, 57 vehicles, and 15 pieces of special equipment.
In addition, yesterday, the Ukrainian aviation, missile forces, and artillery of the Defense Forces of Ukraine hit 2 control points, an artillery system, 2 air defense systems, and 16 areas of Russian concentration.
