Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 29

Ukrainian forces repelled 55 enemy attacks in the Avdiivka direction, held their positions, and repelled assaults by Russian forces in the Kherson direction. Missile forces struck one area of enemy personnel concentration, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
During the past day, there were 131 combat engagements. Overall, the enemy delivered 1 missile and 82 aviation strikes and conducted 108 shelling attacks with multiple launch rocket systems on our troops' positions and populated areas.
Aviation strikes hit:
- Velyka Pysarivka in the Kharkiv region;
- Serebrianse forestry area, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region;
- Spirne, Verkhniokamyanske, Siversk, Hryhorivka, Oleksandropil, Ocheretyne, Novokalynove, Paraskoviivka, Novomykhailivka, Vuhledar, Vodiane, Kostiantynivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region;
- Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Krynky, Kostyrka, Beryslav, Novoberyslav, Prydniprovske, Velytenske, Kyzomys in the Kherson region.
Over 120 populated areas in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains largely unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas and conducts sabotage activities to prevent our troops from being redeployed to threatened areas.
In the Kupiansk direction, our forces repelled 6 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Berestove in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy conducted 18 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kopanky, Novoserhiivka in the Kharkiv region; Makiivka, Nevske, Serebrianske forestry area in the Luhansk region; Terni in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled 29 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Verkhniokamianske, Viiivka, Hryhorivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Novyi, Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 55 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Novokalynove, Keramik, Arkhangelske, Umanske, Sokil, Ocheretyne, Kalynove, Soloviove, Novopokrovske, Novoselivka Persha and west of Semenivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the defense forces continue to restrain the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Vodiane, Novomykhailivka, Urozhaine in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted to breach our troops' defense 15 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, the Russian army attacked the positions of our defenders four times in the areas of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy continues its intention to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River, attacking the positions of our defenders five times in the area of the settlement of Krynyky in the Kherson region.
At the same time, our soldiers continue active actions to inflict losses on the occupation forces in personnel and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the air force of the Defense Forces struck 13 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
Missile troops units struck 1 area where enemy personnel were concentrated and 1 enemy command post.
It should be noted that the total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 466,150 military personnel.
