Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 27

In Ukraine, on the front line, there were 94 combat clashes over the course of the day. The enemy intensified attacks on practically all fronts in the east, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Overall, the enemy launched 12 rocket and 76 aviation strikes, and conducted 83 shelling attacks from reactive barrage systems on the positions of our troops and residential areas.
During the night, Russian occupiers launched another massive strike on Ukraine, employing various types of cruise missiles. Information regarding this attack is being clarified.
During the past day, the following settlements were hit by airstrikes:
- Sumy and Volfyne of the Sumy region;
- Dergachi, Vysoka Yaruga, Lyptsi, Ohirtseve, Pishchane, Hlushkivka and Vodiane of the Kharkiv region;
- Serebrianske forestry and Belohorivka of the Luhansk region;
- Terny, Paraskoviivka, Chasiv Yar, Diliivka, Yevhenivka, Lozuvatske, Berdychi, Oleksandropil, Kostiantynivka, Kalynove, Arkhanhelske, Ocheretyne, Memryk, Novobakhmutivka, Urozhaine, Staromaiorske of the Donetsk region;
- Robotyne of the Zaporizhzhia region;
- Tomaryne and Krynky of the Kherson region.
More than 110 settlements in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Situation at fronts
On the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains without significant changes.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, Russia maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent Ukrainian troops from moving to dangerous directions, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers repelled Russian 10 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kyslivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region and Stelmakhivka in the Luhansk region.
In the Lyman direction, Russia carried out 14 attacks in the areas of Druzheliubivka of the Kharkiv region; Hrekivka and Serebrianske forestry, Luhansk region; Terny and south of Zarichne of the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut, direction Ukrainian soldiers repelled 10 Russian attacks in the areas of settlements of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Novyi, Vyimka, Spirne, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka of the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled over 29 Russian attacks in the areas of Arkhanhelske, Keramik, Ocheretyne, Semenivka, Umanske and Kalynove settlements of the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back Russia in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Prechistivka and Urozhaine settlements of the Donetsk region, where Russia tried to break through the defenses of Ukrainian troops 17 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russia attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 3 times in the Staromaiorske area of the Donetsk region and in the Robotyne area of the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, Russian troops do not give up its intention to knock out Ukrainian units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Yes, during the past day, they carried out 4 unsuccessful attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the Defense Forces aviation struck 14 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
Rocket troops units targeted 2 areas with enemy personnel concentration, 1 radar station, 1 ammunition depot, 3 air defense assets, 1 electronic warfare station, and 1 enemy materiel storage facility.
It's worth noting that the Russians are advancing northwest in Donetsk region. Defense forces are monitoring the aggressor's intentions to bypass Chasiv Yar.
According to analysts from ISW, US assistance may help Ukraine deter the enemy's advance into the country, but it's not a guarantee of liberating all territories occupied by the Russian Federation.
