Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 13

In Ukraine, on the front line, there have been 97 combat clashes over the past day. The enemy attacked most intensively in the Bakhmut and Novopavlivka directions - 33 and 29 attacks, respectively, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
Over the past day, there have been 97 combat clashes.
Overall, the enemy delivered 2 missiles and 91 aviation strikes and conducted 160 shelling attacks from rocket artillery systems on the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Aviation strikes hit:
- Sumy;
- Lyptsi, Vovchansk, Kupiansk-Vuzlovyi, Petropavlivka, Kurylivka in the Kharkiv region;
- Terni, Druzhba, New York, Chasiv Yar, Kalynivka, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Semenivka, Umanske, Netailove, Karlivka, Krasnohorivka, Kostyantynivka, Katerynivka, Vodiane, Urozhaine, Vremivka in the Donetsk region;
- Robotyne and Mala Tokmachka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Artillery fire hit over 110 populated areas in the Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions.
Frontline situation
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains largely unchanged.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas and conducts sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of our troops to threatened directions.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions.
In the Lyman direction, the enemy attacked the positions of our defenders in the Toretsk area of the Donetsk region once.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 33 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, Vyiemka, Rozdolivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 18 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Berdychi, Pervomaiske, and Netailove in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of the settlements of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, Kostiantynivka, Vodiane, Urozhainе in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to break through our troops' defense 29 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, the occupiers attacked our defenders' positions 7 times in the areas of Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy does not give up its intention to eliminate our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro. Thus, over the past day, the enemy carried out 6 unsuccessful attacks on our troops' positions.
At the same time, our soldiers continue active operations to inflict losses on the occupation forces in personnel and equipment, exhausting the enemy along the entire front line of the conflict.
Enemy losses
Over the past day, the Defense Forces' aviation struck 12 areas of personnel, equipment, and military vehicles concentration, as well as 4 enemy air defense missile systems. Ukrainian air defense forces also destroyed one guided missile Kh-59.
Missile forces units targeted one area of personnel concentration, 2 air defense systems, and 1 enemy electronic warfare station.
