Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 10

Ukrainian soldiers hold positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River, detain the enemy near Krasnohorivka in the Donetsk region, and damaged the enemy's electronic warfare station, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
During the past day, 47 combat clashes were recorded. In total, the enemy launched 6 rocket and 65 aviation strikes, conducted 61 shelling attacks with multiple rocket launcher systems on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements.
Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Multi-story and private houses, as well as other infrastructure objects, have been destroyed and damaged.
Situation at frontlines
In the Volyn and Polissia direction, the operational situation remains unchanged, with no significant changes observed in the formation of enemy offensive groupings.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske direction, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine and explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
They conducted air strikes in the areas of populated areas Derhachi, Lyptsi, and Vovchansk of the Kharkiv region. Approximately 20 populated areas, including Yanzhulivka, Buchky, Kostobobriv of the Chernihiv region; Holubivka, Vilna Sloboda, and Khodyne of the Sumy region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. They carried out air strikes in the areas of populated areas Kurylivka and Kruhliakivka of the Kharkiv region.
About 15 populated areas, including Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Stepova Novoselivka of the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, our soldiers repelled three enemy attacks in the area of the populated settlement Terny in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to break through the defense of our troops. Additionally, the enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of the Serebrianske forestry in the Luhansk region.
More than 10 populated areas, including Nevske in the Luhansk region and Terny, Yampolivka, Torske, and Zarichne in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 17 attacks in the areas of populated settlements Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Viyimka, Rozdolivka, Chasiv Yar, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy, with the support of aviation, attempted to improve tactical positions. Additionally, the enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of populated settlements Spirne, Verkhniokamyanske, and Ivanivka in the Donetsk region.
More than 10 populated areas, including Hryhorivka, Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, and Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 2 enemy attacks in the areas of populated settlements Umanske and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to dislodge our units from their occupied positions. They conducted aviation strikes in the areas of populated settlements Oleksandropil, Semenivka, Novokalynove, Berdychiv, and Netaylove in the Donetsk region.
Approximately 10 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, and Semenivka in the Donetsk region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of populated settlements Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, and Novomykhailivka, where the enemy, with aviation support, attempted to break through our troops' defense 14 times. They also conducted aviation strikes in the areas of populated settlements Kostiantynivka, Vuhledar, and Urozhaine in the Donetsk region.
More than 10 populated areas, including Heorhiivka, Paraskeviivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Orikhiv direction, the enemy, with aviation support, attacked the positions of our defenders once in the area of Staramayorsk in the Donetsk region. They also conducted aviation strikes in the areas of populated settlements Mala Tokmachka and Robotyne in the Zaporizhia region.
Approximately 20 populated areas, including Malynivka, Bilohirya, Novodanilivka, and Shcherbaky in the Zaporizhia region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, more than 15 populated areas, including Beryslav, Ivanivka, and Novotyahynka in the Kherson region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
Situation on the left bank of the Dnipro River
The enemy persists in its intention to dislodge our units from strongholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
Indeed, during the day, there were 5 attacks on the positions of our troops in the area of the populated settlement Krynky in the Kherson region.
Russian losses
During the day, the Defense Forces' aviation conducted strikes on 1 area of concentration of personnel, armaments, and military equipment, 1 anti-aircraft missile system, 1 artillery system, and 1 enemy electronic warfare station.
Missile troops units inflicted damage on 8 areas of concentration of personnel and 1 anti-aircraft missile system of the enemy.
It is worth noting that the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 450,080 military personnel.
