Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of April 3

There have been 54 clashes on the front line, Ukrainian soldiers repelled a Russian attack near Andriivka in the Luhansk region and damaged the enemy's EW station, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling of Ukraine
During the day, 54 clashes were recorded. Overall, the enemy launched 5 missile strikes and 50 airstrikes, and conducted 37 shelling attacks from rocket artillery systems on our troops' positions and civilian areas.
Situation at frontlines
In the Volyn and Polissia direction, the operational situation remains unchanged, with no significant changes observed in the formation of enemy offensive groupings.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske direction, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells residential areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of populated areas Slobozhanske and Vovchansk in the Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy affected about 20 populated areas, including Bleshnya in the Chernihiv region; Nova Huta, Havrylova Sloboda, Tovstodubove, Lukashivka in the Sumy region; Veterynarne, Strilecha, Krasne in the Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Defense Forces repelled 1 enemy attack in the area of the populated settlement of Andriivka in the Luhansk region. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of populated settlements Holubivka, Kupiansk, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kalynove, and Borova in the Kharkiv region.
Approximately 15 populated areas, including Synkivka, Stepova Novoselivka, Kotliarivka in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, our troops repelled 3 enemy attacks in the area of the populated settlement of Terny in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to break through the defense of our forces. Over 10 populated areas, including Nevske in the Luhansk region and Terny, Yampolivka, and Torske in the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, our troops repelled 10 attacks in the areas of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region; Spirne, Andriivka, southeast of Vyimka, and Klishchiivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to improve its tactical position.
The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of populated settlements Chasiv Yar, Toretsk, and Druzhba in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Bohdanivka, Kalynivka, and Chasiv Yar in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 8 attacks in the areas of populated settlements Berdychiv, Umanske, Yasnobrodivka, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to dislodge our units from occupied positions. The enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of populated settlements Keramik and Semenivka in the Donetsk region.
Approximately 10 populated areas, including Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of populated settlements Novomykhailivka and Urozhainne, where the enemy, supported by aviation, attempted 15 times to breach the defense of our troops. Additionally, the enemy conducted airstrikes in the areas of populated settlements Krasnohorivka, Vodyane, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region.
Over 10 populated areas, including Heorhiivka, Paraskoviivka, Kostiantynivka, and Vuhledar in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
In the Orikhiv direction, during the day, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions; however, they conducted airstrikes in the areas of populated settlements Staramaiske in Donetsk region; Malynivka, Orikhiv, and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Approximately 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Malynivka, Chervone, Bilohirya, Novodanilivka, and Shcherbaky in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Kherson direction, the enemy persists in their intention to dislodge our units from the footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, during the day, 4 attacks were carried out on the positions of our troops. The enemy artillery shelled Krynky in the Kherson region.
Russian losses
During the day, the Defense Forces aviation conducted strikes on 14 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, military equipment, and 1 anti-aircraft missile system of the enemy.
Rocket troops units inflicted strikes on 2 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, 1 artillery system, 1 radar station, 1 electronic warfare station, and 1 enemy UAV control point.
It is worth reminding that the total number of losses of the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion has exceeded 444 thousand occupiers.
