Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of March 25

Ukrainian troops repelled 25 Russian attacks in the Novopavlivka direction, held their positions, and repelled the Russian occupation forces' assaults in the Kherson direction. Ukrainian missile troops hit 3 Russian artillery units, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
Over the past day, 60 combat engagements took place. In total, over the past day, Russians launched 33 missile and 70 air strikes, and fired 91 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas.
Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries.
Russia also conducted air strikes at:
- Peremoha and Popivka in Sumy region;
- Zolochiv, Kozacha Lopan, Starytsia in Kharkiv region;
- Serebrianske forestry, Bilohorivka, Luhansk region;
- Terny, Yampolivka, Ozerne, Zalizne, Berdychi, Keramik, Netailove, Pervomaiske, Ocheretyno, Novokalynove, Krasnohorivka, Makarivka, Staromaiorske in Donetsk Oblast;
- Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region.
About 100 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions were under artillery fire.
Situation at frontlines
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske direction, Russians maintain a military presence in the border areas, conduct sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas and increase the density of minefields along the state border.
In the Kupiansk direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled the Russian attack near the village of Synkivka in the Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, Ukrainian troops repelled eight Russian attacks near the towns of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Yampolivka and Vesele in the Donetsk region, where Russians, supported by air power, tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled eight Russian attacks in the vicinity of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 10 Russian attacks near Berdychi and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back Russians near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Urozhaine, where the Russians, supported by air, tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian troops 25 times.
In the Orikhiv direction, Russians attacked the positions of Ukrainian defenders 3 times with the support of aviation near Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, Russians have not abandoned their intention to drive Ukrainian troops from their footholds on the left bank of the Dnipro River. Thus, over the past day, Russians made an unsuccessful attack on the positions of Ukrainian troops.
At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the Russian occupation forces, depleting Russians along the entire front line.
Russian losses
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 8 areas of concentration of Russian personnel, weapons, and military equipment.
Ukrainian missile units destroyed 2 air defense systems, 3 artillery systems, and 1 electronic warfare station of the enemy.
The total number of Russian army losses since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine is 436,750.
