Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of March 1

Russian forces are conducting offensive actions on four fronts, with occupant attacks repelled in the area of Bilohorivka, the Luhansk region. Ukrainian soldiers also struck three enemy ammunition depots, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
In total, the enemy launched 6 missile and 79 aviation strikes, and carried out 62 shelling attacks from multiple rocket launchers on the positions of our troops and civilian settlements.
As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, there are casualties and injuries among the civilian population. Multistory and private houses, as well as other infrastructure objects, have been damaged or destroyed.
Situation on the fronts
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, the operational situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of offensive troop formations. Identified units of the Belarusian Armed Forces are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage and reconnaissance activities, shells populated areas from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive obstacles along the state border of Ukraine.
The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of populated settlements Druzhba, Hlukhiv, Volfyne in the Sumy region; Okhriimivka, Vilkhuvatka, Khatne, Topoli in the Kharkiv region. Artillery and mortar shelling by the enemy affected more than 30 populated settlements, including Progress in the Chernihiv region; Shalyhyne, Svarkove, Stara Huta in the Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Hatyshche, Pletenivka, Okhriimivka in the Kharkiv region.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. The enemy carried out air strikes in the areas of populated settlements Kyslivka and Sadove in the Kharkiv region. More than 10 populated settlements, including Dvorichna, Petropavlivka, and Pishchane in the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, Ukrainian troops repelled 6 enemy attacks in the areas of populated settlements Terni, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region, where the enemy, with air support, attempted to break through the defense of our troops. Approximately 20 populated settlements suffered from artillery and mortar shelling, including Makiivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region and Terni, Yampolivka, Torske, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region.
On the Bakhmut front, Defense Forces repelled 4 enemy attacks in the areas of the settlements of Bohdanivka and Andriivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to improve its tactical position. The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of the settlements of Chasiv Yar and Druzhba in the Donetsk region.
Additionally, about 10 populated settlements, including Chasiv Yar, Andriivka, and Druzhba in Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
On the Avdiivka front, our defenders repelled 20 enemy attacks in the areas of populated settlements of Berdychiv, Orlivka, Tonenke, Peromaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region. The enemy conducted aviation strikes in the areas of populated settlements of Novokalynove, Oleksandropil, Arkhanhelske, Novooleksandrivka, Ocheretyne, Progress, and Novobakhmutivka in the Donetsk region.
Approximately 20 populated settlements, including Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Semenivka, Orlivka, and Peromaiske in the Donetsk region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Novopavlivka front, defense forces continue to hold back the enemy in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, and south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to break through our troops' defense 25 times.
More than 20 populated settlements, including Krasnogorivka, Heorhiivka, Paraskevivka, Kostiantynivka, Vuhledar, and Blahodatne in the Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Orihivka front, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. The enemy conducted an aviation strike in the area of the populated settlement of Staramaiorske in the Donetsk region. Approximately 20 populated settlements, including Poltavka, Malynivka, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanilivka, and Pyatyhatky in the Zaporizhzhia region, were subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group on the Kherson front, the enemy did not conduct offensive (assault) actions. Approximately 20 populated settlements, including Kachkarivka, Lvove, Kherson, and Stanislav in the Kherson region, came under enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
