81 combat engagements occurred on the frontlines in Ukraine over the last day. Russian occupants are trying to advance at the Kupiansk, Avdiivka, Bakhmut, Maryinka, and Zaporizhzhia directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
In total, the Russian occupiers launched 7 missile and 87 air strikes and fired 137 missile attacks from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in injuries and deaths among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private buildings, as well as other civilian infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.
Russians attacked Baranivka, Chernihiv region, Bobylivka, Sumy region, Staryi Saltiv, Chorne, Vilkhuvatka, Tabaivka, Pishchane, Synkivka, Kharkiv region, Orikhiv, Zaporizhzhia region
Over 120 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under Russian artillery fire.
Situation at frontlines
In the area of responsibility of the North Operational and Strategic Group of Troops on the Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation remains without significant changes.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of Ukrainian troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the area of responsibility of the Khortytsia Operational and Strategic Group of Troops unit in the Kupiansk direction, Russian troops made 4 unsuccessful offensive attempts in the area of Synkivka, Kharkiv region. They carried out air strikes on settlements in the Kharkiv region, such as Synkivka, Petropavlivka, and Kupiansk.
In the Lyman direction, the Russians, with the support of aviation, attacked Ukrainian Armed Forces units 6 times near Ternivka, Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka, Luhansk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 14 Russian occupants' attacks in the areas of Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region. New York, the Donetsk region, suffered a Russian air strike.
In the area of responsibility of the Tavria Operational and Strategic Group of Troops in the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks near Lastochkino, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske in the Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where they repelled 21 enemy attacks.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Russians tried to make an offensive once near Staromaiorske, Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 11 Russian invaders' attacks near Malynivka and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the area of responsibility of the Odesa Operational and Strategic Group of Troops in the Kherson direction, Ukrainian soldiers continue to hold their positions and repel the attacks of the occupation forces. Despite significant losses, the enemy continues to try to drive Ukrainian units from their positions. Thus, over the past day, the enemy made 5 unsuccessful assaults.
Russian losses
Over the past day, the Ukrainian Defense Forces aviation struck 4 areas of concentration of Russian personnel. Also, in the eastern direction, Ukrainian air defense destroyed a Su-34 fighter bomber and one Orlan-10 reconnaissance UAV.
Ukrainian missile troops struck at 1 area of concentration of personnel, 3 control points, and 2 ammunition depots of the enemy.
