Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 19

Ukrainian soldiers are holding positions on the left bank of the Dnipro, repelled attacks near the village of Lastochkyne (Donetsk region), and damaged 5 enemy artillery units, according to data from the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling continues
Despite significant losses, the enemy persists in its plans for the full occupation of Ukraine, disregarding the laws and customs of war, using tactics of terror, targeting both military and civilian objects.
The enemy actively employs aviation and FPV-type quadcopters, conducting assault operations with armored support. The operational situation in the east and south of Ukraine remains challenging. Over the past day, there have been 70 combat engagements.
Overall, the enemy has launched 4 missile strikes and 52 airstrikes, as well as 72 shelling incidents using multiple rocket launcher systems targeting our troops' positions and civilian settlements. Unfortunately, there are casualties among the civilian population due to Russian terrorist attacks. Multi-story buildings, private houses, and other infrastructure objects have suffered destruction and damage.
Situation on the frontlines
In the Volyn and Polissia directions, there have been no significant changes in the operational situation. There are no signs of the enemy forming offensive groupings. Identified units of the Armed Forces of Belarus are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains military presence in border areas, conducts reconnaissance activities, fires on settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
Enemy aircraft struck in the areas of Baranivka, the Chernihiv region, and Bobylivka, the Sumy region. Artillery and mortar shelling affected over 10 settlements, including Senkivka, the Chernihiv region; Katerynivka, Taratutine, Yizdetske, Luhivka, and Velyka Pysarivka, the Sumy region.
In the Kupiansk direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to advance near the settlement of Synkivka, Kharkiv region. Aviation strikes were carried out in the areas of Tabaiivka, Pishchane, and Synkivka, the Kharkiv region.
Approximately 10 settlements, including Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Kyslivka, and Kotliarivka, the Kharkiv region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Lyman direction, our troops repelled four attacks near Terniv, the Donetsk region, and Bilohorivka, the Luhansk region, where the enemy attempted to breach the defense.
Over 10 settlements, including Nevskoe and Bilohorivka, the Luhansk region, and Serebrianka, Terniv, Torske, and Rozdolivka, the Donetsk region, were affected by artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Bakhmut direction, Defense Forces repelled 11 attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivaniivka, Klyshchyivka, and Andriivka, the Donetsk region, where the enemy attempted to improve tactical positions.
Around 10 settlements, including Bohdanivka, Vasiukivka, Chasiv Yar, Ivaniivka, Klishchiivka, and New York, the Donetsk region, came under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Avdiivka direction, our defenders repelled 9 enemy attacks in the areas of Lastochkine, Severne, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske, the Donetsk region. Approximately 20 settlements, including Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, Stepove, Lastochkine, Severne, and Pervomaiske, the Donetsk region, were targeted by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
In the Maryinka direction, Defense Forces continue to hold back the enemy near Heorhiivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka, the Donetsk region, repelling 19 attacks. Settlements such as Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Novomykhailivka, and Kostiantynivka were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the enemy attempted one advance near Staramaiorske, the Donetsk region. Around 10 settlements, including Zolota Nyva, Staramaiorske, Rivnopil, the Donetsk region, and Novodarivka, Lebedynske, the Zaporizhzhia region, were shelled by artillery and mortars.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Defense Forces repelled 10 enemy attacks near Malynivka and Robotyne, the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 settlements, including Huliapole, Huliapil, Novodanilivka, Novoandriivka, Stepove, and Kamianske, the Zaporizhzhia region, were under artillery and mortar fire.
In the zone of responsibility of the Odesa operational-strategic group in the Kherson direction, artillery and mortar shelling affected Kherson, Antonivka, Zelenivka, and Krynyky, the Kherson region. Additionally, the enemy carried out 9 shelling incidents with reactive volley fire systems.
Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive
The enemy persists in its intention to dislodge our units from the bridgeheads on the left bank of the Dnipro River.
During the day, there were 5 attempts to storm the positions of our troops.
Enemy losses
During the day, the Air Force of the Defense Forces struck 10 areas of personnel concentration, 1 command post, and 10 anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy.
Also, on the eastern front, units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine destroyed two enemy aircraft: a Su-34 fighter-bomber and a Su-35S fighter.
Missile troops units struck 1 command post, 4 ammunition depots, and 5 enemy artillery systems.
It should be noted that the total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 403,720 military personnel.
