Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of February 15

In Ukraine, 83 combat engagements took place in the frontline over the last day. The Russians launched over 100 air strikes and continued to storm Avdiivka and several nearby settlements, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
In total, the enemy launched 4 missile and 106 air strikes, and fired 95 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in injuries and deaths among the civilian population. Multi-storey and private houses, as well as critical infrastructure facilities, were destroyed and damaged.
This morning, the Russian occupiers launched another massive missile attack on Ukraine, using strategic aviation. Air alerts have been raised throughout the country.
Air strikes were carried out in Novosadove, Riznykivka, Kuzmynivka, Rozdolivka, Ivanivske, New York, Oleksandropil, Novooleksandrivka, Novokalynove, Ocheretyno, Novobakhmutivka, Orlivka, Lastochkino, Kostyantynivka, Vodiane, Vuhledar, Shevchenko in Donetsk region; Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne in Zaporizhzhya region.
More than 100 settlements in Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
Frontlines situation
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack near Ivanivka, Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled an attack near Terny, Donetsk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of our troops.
In the Bakhmut direction, Ukrainian troops repelled four attacks near Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, and Klishchiyivka in the Donetsk region, where the enemy was trying to improve their tactical position.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the invaders. Thus, the Defense Forces repelled 34 enemy attacks near Avdiivka and another 6 attacks near Severne and Nevelske in the Donetsk region over the past day.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian troops continue to hold back the enemy near Krasnohorivka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where the Russians tried to improve the tactical situation more than 20 times.
In the Novopavlivka direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled an attack south of Zolota Nyva in the Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled three enemy attacks west of Verbove and Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Kherson direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to expand their foothold. Despite significant losses, the enemy continues to try to drive our units from their positions. Thus, over the past day, the enemy carried out 7 unsuccessful assault operations.
Russian losses
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 10 areas of concentration of personnel and 3 anti-aircraft missile systems of the Russian occupiers.
Missile troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine struck 6 areas of concentration of personnel, 5 artillery units, 3 ammunition and fuel and lubricants depots, and 3 enemy electronic warfare facilities.
