In Ukraine, 95 combat engagements were recorded on the frontline over the past day. The Russians attacked the country with drones on a large scale, and the Ukrainian Defense Forces heroically repelled the invaders' attacks in many directions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian attacks
In total, the Russians launched 1 missile and 61 air strikes, fired 71 times from multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of Ukrainian soldiers and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in deaths and injuries among the civilian population. Private houses and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged.
At night, the Russian occupiers once again attacked Ukraine using 28 Shahed-136/131 UAVs. Air defense forces destroyed 24 attack UAVs.
Synkivka, Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region; Nevske, Serebrianske forestry in the Luhansk region; Terny, Spirne, Toretsk, Avdiivka, Vesele, Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Mala Tokmachka, Robotyne, Preobrazhenka in the Zaporizhzhia region; Krynky in the Kherson region were hit by air strikes.
About 130 settlements in Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, and Mykolaiv regions came under artillery fire.
The situation at the frontlines
The operational situation remains unchanged in the Volyn and Polissia directions.
In the Siversk and Slobozhanske directions, the enemy maintains a military presence in the border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the deployment of our troops to threatened areas, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
In the Kupiansk direction, Ukrainian defenders repelled 19 enemy attacks in the areas of Synkivka, Kharkiv region, and Stelmakhivka, Luhansk region, where the enemy tried to break through the defense of Ukrainian soldiers.
In the Lyman direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled four enemy attacks near the village of Terniv in the Donetsk region.
In the Bakhmut direction, our soldiers repelled 7 enemy attacks near Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka in the Donetsk region.
In the Avdiivka direction, Ukrainian defenders continue to hold back the enemy, who keeps trying to encircle Avdiivka. Our soldiers are steadfastly holding the line, inflicting significant losses on the Russians. The defense forces repelled 22 enemy attacks east of Novokalynove, Novobakhmutivka, and Avdiivka, as well as 13 attacks in the vicinity of Pervomaisk, Donetsk region.
In the Maryinka direction, Ukrainian defense forces continue to hold back the invaders in the areas of Maryinka and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region, where our defenders repelled 15 attacks.
In the Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct any offensive (assault) actions.
In the Zaporizhzhia direction, the Defense Forces repelled 7 enemy attacks west of Verbove and south of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region.
In the Melitopol direction, Ukrainian troops continue to inflict losses in manpower and equipment on the occupation forces, depleting the enemy along the entire front line.
In the Kherson direction, the Defense Forces continue to expand the bridgehead. Despite the setbacks, the enemy did not abandon its intention to drive our units from their positions and made 12 unsuccessful assault operations. He received a worthy rebuff and retreated with losses. Ukrainian defenders are engaged in counter-battery combat, inflicting fire on the enemy's rear.
Russia's losses
Over the past day, the aviation of the Ukrainian Defense Forces struck 16 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment and the enemy's anti-aircraft missile system.
Missile troops hit 9 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons, and military equipment, 3 ammunition depots, and an enemy artillery unit.
