Russia-Ukraine war: Frontline update as of November 28

Ukrainian military maintains positions on the left bank of the Dnipro River in the Kherson region, continuing to engage the enemy with fire, reports the Ukrainian General Staff's Facebook page.
Enemy attacks
During the day, there were 56 skirmishes. The enemy carried out 11 missile strikes and 35 airstrikes, as well as 42 shelling incidents using reactive multiple rocket launchers on our troops' positions and populated areas.
Additionally, the Russian Federation once again attacked Ukraine with the Shahed-136/131 assault UAV, which was destroyed by our defenders. Unfortunately, due to Russian terrorist attacks, there are casualties among the civilian population.
Private residential houses and other civilian infrastructure suffered destruction and damage.
The situation on the fronts
The operational situation in eastern and southern Ukraine remains challenging.
On the Volyn and Polissia fronts, there have been no significant changes. There are no signs of the formation of attacking groups. Identified units of the Belarusian armed forces are performing tasks in border areas with Ukraine.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts sabotage-reconnaissance activities, fires at settlements from Russian territory, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along Ukraine's state border. Approximately 15 populated areas, including Yelyne in the Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Boyaro-Lezhachi, Basyvka, Stepok, Hrabovske, Popivka in the Sumy region; Hraniv, Starytsia, Pletenivka, Zemlianky in the Kharkiv region, have been subjected to enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Kupiansk front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Synkivka and Petropavlivka in the Kharkiv region, where 4 attacks were repelled by Defense Forces. Aviation strikes were carried out near Ivanivka and Stepova-Novoselivka in the Kharkiv region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Dvorichna, Synkivka, Petropavlivka, Ivanivka, Berestove in the Kharkiv region, were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Lyman front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations in the vicinity of the populated area of Terni in the Donetsk region, where 3 attacks were repelled by defense forces. An aviation strike was inflicted in the vicinity of the populated area of Spirne in the Donetsk region. Over 10 populated areas, including Nevske, Serebrianske forestry in the Luhansk region, and Torske, Serebrianka, Spirne, Rozdolivka in the Donetsk region, were affected by enemy artillery and mortar shelling.
On the Bakhmut front, the enemy conducted assault operations in the areas of Bohdanivka, Klishchivka, Andriivka, and North in the Donetsk region, where 16 attacks were repelled by defense forces. Aviation strikes were carried out in the areas of the populated localities of Chasiv Yar and Toretsk in the Donetsk region. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Markove, Bohdanivka, Ivanivske, Klishchiivka, and New York in the Donetsk region, were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Avdiivka front, the enemy conducted unsuccessful assault operations near Stepove, Avdiivka, south of Tonenke, and Pervomaiske in the Donetsk region, where 15 attacks were repelled. Approximately 15 populated areas, including Sukha Balka, Ocheretyno, Stepove, Avdiivka, Netailove, Nevelske in the Donetsk region, were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Maryinka front, Ukrainian soldiers repelled 12 enemy attacks in the areas of Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. About 10 populated areas in the Donetsk region, including Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Maryinka, Pobeda, and Novomykhailivka, were under enemy artillery and mortar fire.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy did not conduct offensive actions. Approximately 10 populated areas, including Vodiane, Bohoiavlennia, Prechystivka, Blahodatne, and Staromaiorske in the Donetsk region, were shelled with artillery and mortars.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, the enemy unsuccessfully attempted twice to regain lost positions in the area of Robotyne in the Zaporizhzhia region. Over 20 populated areas, including Poltavka, Huliaipole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Shcherbaky, and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region, were shelled with artillery and mortars.
On the Kherson front, the enemy carried out aviation strikes in the areas of Beryslav and Kozatske in the Kherson region. Kherson, Dudchany, Lvove, Mykilske in the Kherson region, and Dmytrivka, Ochakiv in the Mykolaiv region, were affected by enemy artillery shelling.
Casualties of the enemy
Throughout the day, the Defense Forces' aviation carried out 13 strikes on areas where enemy personnel, weaponry, and military equipment were concentrated, and 3 strikes on anti-aircraft missile systems of the enemy.
Missile troops units hit the command post, 5 air defense systems, 9 artillery units, and an enemy electronic warfare station.
