Ukraine's defense forces continue their defensive operations in the east and south of Ukraine, conducting offensive operations in the Melitopol direction and advancing in the Bakhmut direction. They are steadily destroying the enemy and liberating temporarily occupied territories, securing their achieved positions, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Russian shelling
There were 37 military clashes during the past day. In total, the enemy carried out 6 airstrikes and launched 29 missile artillery attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and civilian objects.
Airstrikes targeted Hrabovske in the Sumy region; Kostyantynivka in the Donetsk region; Novodanylivka, Robotyne, and Orihiv in the Zaporizhzhia region; and Beryslav in the Kherson region.
Over 90 populated areas in the Sumy, Kharkiv, Luhansk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kherson regions were under artillery fire.
Frontline situation
The operational situation remains largely unchanged on the Volyn and Polissia fronts.
On the Siversk and Slobozhanske fronts, the enemy maintains a military presence in border areas, conducts active sabotage activities to prevent the transfer of Ukrainian troops to critical directions, and increases the density of minefields along the state border in the Belgorod region.
On the Kupiansk front, Ukrainian defenders repelled 3 enemy attacks in the areas of Slynkivka and Ivanivka in the Kharkiv region.
On the Lyman front, Ukrainian defense forces repelled 4 enemy attacks in the area of Makiivka in the Luhansk region.
On the Bakhmut front, Ukrainian defenders repelled enemy attacks north of Bohdanivka, Klishchiivka, and Andriivka.
On the Avdiivka and Maryinka fronts, the enemy conducted approximately 15 unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Avdiivka, Maryinka, and Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region.
On the Shakhtarsk front, the enemy did not engage in offensive (assault) actions.
On the Zaporizhzhia front, Ukrainian defenders repelled an enemy attack north of Novoprokopivka in the Zaporizhzhia region.
Ukrainian Armed Forces' advance
Ukraine's defense forces continue their offensive operation in the Melitopol direction and have achieved partial success in areas west of Verbovoho in the Zaporizhzhia region. Ukrainian soldiers also engage in offensive (assault) actions in the Bakhmut direction and have achieved partial success in the areas of Klishchiivka and Andriivka, inflicting losses on the occupying forces in terms of personnel and equipment, consolidating their positions and wearing down the enemy.
On the Kherson direction, Ukrainian defense forces are engaged in counter-battery combat, destroying depots and successfully targeting the rear of the enemy.
Enemy losses
During the past day, the defense forces' aviation conducted 3 strikes on personnel, equipment, and military machinery concentration areas.
Units of the missile troops damaged 3 artillery pieces, 2 radar stations, 2 personnel concentration areas, and 2 enemy ammunition depots.
The total number of losses in the Russian army since the beginning of the invasion is 282,280 military personnel.
