Russia-Ukraine frontline update: Russian activity in Pokrovsk sector dropped

In the past 24 hours, on July 16, 112 combat engagements were recorded at the frontline in Ukraine. The occupiers have reduced their activity in the Pokrovsk direction, according to the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 8:00 AM.
"In the Pokrovsk direction, the Armed Forces of Ukraine repelled 24 assault actions in the areas of the settlements of Progres, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Kalynove, Novoselivka Persha, and Umanske, where the invaders, supported by aviation, tried to push our units out of their positions," the report said.
According to the military, the highest concentration of enemy attacks was near Novooleksandrivka.
Situation on other fronts
In the Kharkiv sector, there were seven combat engagements in the areas of the settlements of Hlyboke and Vovchansk.
In the Kupiansk sector, the number of attacks per day amounted to nine. The Defense Forces repelled enemy assault actions near Synkivka, Andriivka, Pishchane, Berestove, and Stepova Novoselivka.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy attacked nine times near Hrekivka, Makiivka, and Nevske.
In the Siversk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 11 assault actions by Russian invaders near Verkhnokamianske, Spirne, Vyiimka, Pereizne, and Pivnichne.
In the Kramatorsk sector, the occupiers attacked seven times in the areas of Chasiv Yar, Klishchiivka, and Opytne.
In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 11 attacks near Pivnichne, New York, and Toretsk.
In the Kurakhove sector, the Defense Forces repelled 23 attacks near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka, Kostyantynivka, and Paraskoviivka, where the enemy tried to break through Ukrainian troops' defense.
In the Vremivka sector, the enemy carried out six assaults on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine near Vodiane.
In the Huliaipole and Orikhiv sectors, the occupiers continue to try to push Ukrainian units out of their positions. Four Russian attacks were unsuccessful in the areas of Marfopil, Mala Tokmachka, and Novoandriivka.
In the Prydniprovskyi sector, there was one enemy assault action near Kozachi Laheri.
In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, the situation remains unchanged. There are no signs of enemy offensive group formations.
On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, the enemy maintains a military presence, shells settlements from the territory of the Russian Federation, and increases the density of mine-explosive barriers along the state border of Ukraine.
Russian losses in Ukraine
In the past day, on July 16, Russian invaders' losses amounted to 1,110 personnel. The Armed Forces of Ukraine also neutralized 11 tanks, 9 armored fighting vehicles, 43 artillery systems, 1 MLRS, 1 air defense system, 31 operational-tactical level UAVs, 61 vehicles, and 9 units of enemy special equipment.
