Russia transports DPRK troops to frontline in trucks with civilian license plates
Recently it became known that DPRK troops will be involved in the war against Ukraine. In particular, the Russians are transporting North Korean mercenaries to the front in civilian trucks, reports the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine.
For example, on October 27, 2024, Russian police detained a KAMAZ with civilian license plates loaded with North Korean military personnel on the Kursk-Voronezh highway. According to the intercepted conversation, the driver, who was carrying reinforcements from the DPRK in the trailer, did not have a combat order.
Therefore, in another radio interception obtained by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the staff of the 810th Separate Marine Brigade of the Russian Federation, which was intended to receive North Korean reinforcements from KAMAZ, is trying to find out whether they have the stopped truck on their balance sheet and why the driver does not have proper documents.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy recently announced that Russia would deploy the first North Korean military to the war zone on October 27-28. He emphasized that this is an obvious escalation step by Russia.
