As a result of a Russian attack on Poltava, a fire broke out at a warehouse storing finished products of a local company. The fire engulfed about 1,500 sq. m of the building, according to the State Emergency Service.

Last night in Poltava, a Russian strike caused a fire at a warehouse of one of the local enterprises.

It is reported that the fire engulfed about 1,500 sq. m of the building. Rescuers have extinguished the blaze.

"No information about casualties has been received. A total of 63 rescuers and 15 units of emergency equipment were involved in putting out the fire," the service added.

Volodymyr Kogut, head of the Poltava Regional Military Administration, confirmed that last night the enemy attempted to attack the Poltava region using drones.

He noted that air defense units targeted the enemy’s drones. As a result of a drone falling in the Poltava district, a warehouse of a civilian enterprise was damaged.

"The fire that broke out was extinguished by the State Emergency Service units. Fortunately, there were no casualties," he concluded.

Ukraine attacks on October 18

It is worth noting that in addition to Poltava, Russian forces struck several districts in Dnipropetrovsk region during the night. This caused multiple fires, and a hospital was damaged by the shelling.

Additionally, in the night of October 18, Russian forces again attacked Zaporizhzhia. Several strikes were recorded in the city, later causing multiple fires and damage to an educational institution.
