“On the night of October 1, the enemy attacked with 49 strike drones of the Shahed type, Gerbera, and other types of UAVs from the directions of Millerovo, Bryansk (RF), and Chauda – temporarily occupied Crimea,” the Air Force stated.

The enemy also used an Oniks anti-ship missile from temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as four Iskander-M/KN-23 ballistic missiles launched from Russia’s Oryol region.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, electronic warfare, and unmanned systems units, as well as mobile fire groups of the Defense Forces of Ukraine.

According to preliminary data, as of 9:30 a.m. (Kyiv time), air defense destroyed or suppressed 44 enemy drones in the north, east, and center of the country. Five missile and drone strikes were recorded at six locations.
