On the night of June 16, Russia launched 138 Shahed drones and imitators against Ukraine, according to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Russia launched drones from the directions of the Russian cities of Bryansk, Kursk, Orel, and Shatalovo. The main target of the attack was the Donetsk region.

Russian attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare units, and unmanned systems, mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 8 a.m., Kyiv time, 125 Russian drones have been neutralized in the north, east, south, and center of the country, including:84 - shot down by firepower; 41 - locally lost and suppressed by electronic warfare.

During the Russian attack, hits were recorded in 10 locations, and the downed drones fell in 8 locations.

Russian strikes on Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, Russia has been regularly striking Ukraine with various types of missiles, artillery, guided aerial bombs, and drones. Civilian infrastructure is often targeted, which poses an additional threat to ordinary citizens.

Russians use drone attacks every night. For example, on the night of June 15, Russia launched 183 drones and 11 missiles at Ukraine.
