Last night, Russian troops carried out another drone attack on Ukraine. Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed or suppressed most of the enemy drones, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.

According to the Ukrainian military, the Russian attack began on the evening of February 24.

Russia used 115 strike drones of various types, including Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, and other types of drones.

About 60 drones were of the Shahed type. The launches were carried out from the Bryansk and Kursk regions and the temporarily occupied territory of the Donetsk region.

How Ukrainian air defense worked

Russian air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

According to preliminary data as of 7:30 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or suppressed 95 Russian drones in the north, south, and east of Ukraine.

Despite the work of Ukrainian air defense forces, 18 Russian strike drones were recorded in 11 separate locations. Information on the consequences is being clarified.

Russian strikes on Ukraine on February 25

According to the Mykolaiv Regional Military Administration, the Mykolaiv region suffered several Russian attacks on the night of February 25. At the same time, all critical infrastructure facilities are under control, and there are no casualties among the civilian population.
