Russia strikes Ukraine with 112 drones overnight: Air defense's work reported

On the night of October 9, Russia launched a massive attack on Ukraine, firing more than 100 strike drones of various types, according to the Ukrainian Air Force.
On the night of October 9, Russia attacked Ukraine with 112 Shahed-type strike drones, Gerbera drones, and other types of drones from the following directions:
- Millerovo,
- Kursk,
- Shatalovo,
- Primorsko-Akhtarsk.
Over 70 of them were Shahed drones.
Anti-aircraft missile forces, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled a Russian air attack.
According to preliminary data, as of 9 a.m. Kyiv time, Ukrainian air defense forces shot down and suppressed 87 Russian drones of various types.
However, 22 strike drones were recorded hitting 12 locations.
"The attack continues, with several Russian drones in the airspace. Do not ignore air raid sirens. Follow safety rules!" the military adds.
Situation on the front
Over the past day, there have been more than 200 combat clashes on the front. The enemy is exerting the most pressure on the Pokrovsk and Oleksandrivsk directions, where nearly half of all assaults have been recorded.

Over the past day, Russia lost 1,020 troops.
Ukrainian defenders also destroyed a tank, an armored combat vehicle, 15 artillery systems, as well as 328 tactical-level drones and 55 Russian vehicles.
